Orange County beach resort advice

First time poster planning first trip to CA for next August. Hoping to follow 3-4 days of Disneyland with a week at an Orange County beach resort - ideally Newport Beach. Everything seems super expensive hotel wise and want to avoid an Airbnb as had some less than great experiences. Does anyone have experience of Beachview Realty and have views? Thank you!

I don’t have a good answer for you. My family always stays at the Marriott Vacation Club in Newport Coast. It’s not right on the beach - you have to drive or walk, and it’s a bit of a hike, especially on the way back. In fact, most of the beaches in that area require parking or walking or both. Some areas in Newport are on a bit of a cliff.

So I’d basically find a hotel of a brand you trust and can afford a bit off the coast, then use the savings to park close to the beach.
