All good advise from everyone. The one thing I would add which I think takes a lot of the guess work out is download a weather app. Forecasts are just that, forecasts. If you have an app on your phone that has radar on it you can see how close any rain may or may not be and also see if it is going to last just a few minutes or several hours. It has rained every time I have gone at one time or another. I always bring ponchos but as of yet never wore them. Its just a matter of timing where you are when the rain comes and goes. There are many free apps out there, most of which will track your location so you know exactly where on the map you are. I use “Storm Radar” and “My Radar”
Agree about the weather app. I use Dark Sky which is amazing!
