New to UO/IOA

I didn’t know that but now that you say it I totally see it! Except Epic. I really wish they could have found a way to make Epic closer. That’s another consideration for park hopping. I don’t think I would park hop to or from Epic. But from IoA and UO it’s fairly convenient.

Lockheed Martin owns A LOT of the land that Universal has purchased over the years to build UOR.

They still have a massive campus right next to USF. If UOR could ever get them to sell it would make a 5th park possible right next to the others

Found that out the hard way! We made a scary wrong turn in all the construction heading back to Stella Nova on the opening night. Wound up lost at their security shack my heart sunk when I realized where I was. Seriously it’s a lot closer than I realized to Stella nova than i would have imagined.

Wow, the mirror thinking of DL will help. DH is familiar with the park design and size of DL.

Thanks for the info!

Since you have thrill riders, I’d go for Portofino for the unlimited EP’s.
That way they can happily circle around their favorites.

Our favorite way to do UO and IOA assumes Express Passes and four days (so you’ll want to adjust)
We think of the two Harry Potter areas as sort-of its own park. We do early entry HP area in whichever park has EA. Then when it gets crowded we do half of the non-HP area of a park, then dinner-ish we go back to the HP area. As you can tell, we are HP fans.

With the train and EP’s it is easy and pleasant to pop back and forth between the parks in the HP areas.

With EP’s there is no reason to criss-cross a park. You just walk around and ride whatever you come across. You just need to know when shows are scheduled so that you can meander to the area at the right time.

Looking for opinions….Do you think these instagram popular bags will fit the free lockers at the UO parks?

Without knowing the dimensions, I would guess yes.

I’ll look at that. They just seem big enough for a water bottle and extras. I don’t know, I’m just used to my backpack at WDW and I would rather use free lockers than have to pay for one at the rides.

Yeah that will work. I’m sure it’s not any bigger than a mini backpack/sling bag.

Also, we use a regular sized backpack. It fits fine. We just don’t cram it full of stuff. Or, well, when we have lots of stuff, we use more than one locker. I remember some days when we were putting the HP robes in the locker. I had a drawstring bag that I like to keep with me in the seat on a flight. We’d cram the robes in it, and that would get one locker and our remaining backpack and stuff would get another locker. But for walking around DH aka The Sherpa would have everything.
Basic idea, you can use more than one locker.
