New to DCL, Leaving in 3 weeks, Any Must-Do's on the Wish - now a trip report

Genius level marketing that pulls at all your heartstrings! They released the commercial last year like summertime and it was SO good, targeted at Castaway Club members to come return to sailing.

And then just a couple of weeks go they rolled out those stinkin dang cute Evies. I think they need to add it to onboard gifts and charge more for it, so she’s waiting for you just like in the ad. :face_holding_back_tears: But since they’ve got in the gift shop for now, that’s where I’ll be lining up for at 5pm on my next cruise.

Oh yay!!! That menu and theme aren’t for everyone, I get it. But I am so happy it worked out for you! The scallops and bao bun are 2 of my favorite dishes on the Wish Class ships, so you did a great job picking so far!

And what a great first day!! Can’t wait to hear every single second that you have left.

Unfortunately, they were not available. The manager of the gift shop said hey would be back in stock in April.

Oh man! :slightly_frowning_face: Sorry you/your friend weren’t able to get one. But maybe it will give you a reason to get back on a sailing sometime shortly after April.

Our next cruise is in June so we might run up into them running out a second time by then.

After dinner, we watched the match your mate game. I’m sure it really depends on the couples who are chosen… and our show was sweet but not super exciting or funny.
Thats all I had left for the day! I’ve showered and am about to go to bed.
Tomorrow, we have a ship tour at 9, Paulo brunch at 11, and would love to lay around and soak up some sun. I also want to try bingo, something in nightingales, and the kiss goodnight. Our dinner will be in Arrendale.
Am I becoming a dcl cruiser? I think I might be! This has been so easy and fun!

I slept pretty good, but unfortunately my friend did not. She did not find the couch bed at all comfortable. So much so that we are going to share the queen bed tonight.

We had palo brunch at 11, so just got coffee, juice, fruit, and yogurt at Marceline market. There is a room of tables tucked away from all of the service lines and it was completely empty. Such a pleasant and different experience compared to my holland cruise last summer.
We did the ship tour at 9 and it was amazing. Our tour guide Kristen was delightful and the hour flew by. I love to hear details about the art, light fixtures, carpets, etc.

Bruch at Palo was delicious. But so much food. And of course even delicious food is hard to eat when you are stuffed. So I think that would be a skip for me if I cruise again. I will say that the flatbreads and chicken parmigiana are some of the best of that category that I’ve ever eaten. And our server suggested we skip the eggs and waffle course, but I didn’t, because I wanted to try it all.
After brunch, we found loungers in the adults area and read / relaxed. Though crowded, it wasn’t chaotic.
And now I’m back on our verandah with some water, a coke, and a vodka lemonade. More reading and relaxing ahead and I want to do bingo at 4:30.
Cruising is so easy compared to WDW trips. And the boat feels very manageable, especially after the ship tour.

Bingo was fun but I did not win.

From there, we went to watch the little mermaid. It was fine but i don’t know if I’d rewatch it if I cruised again on the wish.
Next was the Pirate Party Parlay. We sang and danced along and it was very cute.

I agree.
We didn’t love LM. It made one of my daughters absolutely furious. The pirate parlay on the other hand blew their minds. My girls are totally in their Jack Sparrow era :winking_face_with_tongue:.

Busy busy! Makes a trip report hard.
Last night we pirate parlayed, had dinner, then did the pirate dance party. Nearly closed it down. So much fun!

Then we went to the 11:00 kiss good night but it was pirate themed. So we’ll try to see it again tonight.

Slept great last night.
We started with breakfast in 1923 but then remembered the churro waffles. So two breakfasts! I guess we carb loaded for our slow 5k.
We walked onto castaway cay, and did the 5k and shopped a bit. Then back to the boat to change into swimwear. And we took the tram to serentiy bay. Lovely! We had perfect weather. Warm with a cool breeze. We read on beach chairs for a while, then grabbed a snack and a drink (still pretty full from the two breakfasts). At 2:30ish we headed back to the boat and rode the Aquamouse with about a twenty minute wait. So cute. Lots of fun, but pretty short.

Then a shower and bingo! I did not win!
Next was Aladdin, which was my favorite of the three shows. Hilarious and made sense, even with being condensed.
Then a few pictures and last minute shopping.
And now I’m sitting in Nightingales, enjoying the piano and having a drink before dinner. I got the Butterfly and it is delicious. And a fun presentation.
Three days goes by so fast! We are already talking about what our next cruise might be.

I concur!
The carpet was excellent.

Did you ever visit the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge?

You two are adorable! Glad to see you are having a great trip!

This was our favorite lounge on the Wish. The night they had the guy playing Elton and Billy Joel songs….we loved it so much and it has made quite a memory for @Julianne_fki @JustKeepSmiling and me.

We went in on the ship tour but never sat for a drink. It was a cool space. I like that it was meant to be more refined than Ogas but still very themed to Star Wars. And our ship tour guide let us know when the droids would be dropping by the lounge.

1923 was a delicious meal. Surprisingly, we enjoyed Marvel the most. And I highly recommended making a request for a quieter table if you don’t like the crowds and noise. Wveey night we had a table to ourselves in a quiet(er) corner of the dining room.
Now we are packing and then will go do the wishing ever after activity in the hall.
At midnight, we will try to change our flight from 9 pm to 1230. There are 5 seats available on it, so fingers crossed.

We plan to eat quickly at marceline market and be ready for express walk off. We paid for dcl transportation to MCO. Will report back on how that goes.
