I think these discounts, which cover most of March 2024, are being announced about a month earlier than they’re normally announced.

To me, that indicates Disney’s trying to figure out how bad the first half of 2024 is going to be.

My Wall Street people are saying all travel is soft for the first half of 2024. So we might see more discounts depending on how panicked everyone is a month from now.

If you look at availability you would not be surprised by the discount

I am shocked at how much is open through spring break and around Easter. It’s not usual, that’s for sure.

So I currently have a Deluxe Studio reservation at Riviera from 1/21-1/24 (Mother/Daughter Birthday Girl’s trip), and tried to update my reservation this morning around 9am. We’re eligible for the AP and FL res offers as well, but when I tried to call and apply any of the offers the very kind woman on the phone actually said all of the inventory for the sale had been taken up! Not sure if Disney put out very limited inventory to gauge interest, but frustrating that it had all been bought up within an hour of the announcement.

(Also funny story, I initially called because I thought the sale rooms not showing was an IT issue… I never thought it had all been because they were all bought up!)
