New Option for 2027 Disney Dining Plan

Deluxe plan returns (modified since last time).

This is slightly better than the other two. This would allow more signature dining, but I’d rather have more snacks than a QS meal. That’s a lot of food.

Sorry Disney, your too late to the party.

Our family has always purchased a multiple TS/Day plan dating all the way back to the “Platinum Plan”. We tried a 1 TS/Day plan but that was too difficult to manage against our desired outcome so we have adapted to “pay as you”. I don’t see us returning to any dining plan in the future.

ETA: changed 2 TS/Day to multiple TS/Day

I looked up the 2019 deluxe plan. It was:

  • 3 TS a day (or QS if you wanted)
  • 2 snacks
  • App, entree, dessert and alcoholic beverage
  • Mug

I often did this for split stays and signature dining. It was around $116 a day.

I wish they would just give us what us grazers want which is a snack heavy option - targeted mostly at festival goers, but also at grazers (spring rolls, mickey bar, beignets is a fine afternoon in my mind). Like if they did an appropriately priced 1 TS and 3 snack option, I’d be all over it. Or heck, just price the other plans up 5 bucks and bring me back to two snacks!

For the full family trips when i brought all the kids the snacks were overwhelming so ive lived the whole “too much food” thing. But for adult trips, a DDP heavy on snacks would come in clutch!

“Meals and snacks are non-transferable between party members”

What does this mean?

If you buy an adult dining plan, each child on your reservation gets a free dining plan. That won’t be the case next year.

You used to be able to use your credits on friends if you were at a meal together. Now, you are not suppose to use your credits for others.

I think it was the “party members” that threw me off. It’s been awhile since our party members weren’t all in the same reservation/room.

But now I get the people you know that you’re dining with but not staying together. It’s good that folks who want a dining plan will have choices.:wink:

Thanks

My bad, I was merely pointing out kids won’t eat free any more, with the last two sentences. I guess preschoolers and early elementary are eating too much of Disney’s food profits.

Apparently…

in the past, when it was available, we always used to purchase the deluxe dining plan which was 3 table service meals and 2 snacks per day, and we always found ourselves wasting so much food. Last time the only table service dining plan available was 1 table service, 1 quick serve and one snack which was lacking. This new deluxe dining plan seems like a pretty good compromise. The only place it might wind up lacking is when we’re trying to save a credit here or there to be used in restaurants that cost 2 credits.
