I noticed that they’ve updated the meet and mingle with a new after hours time (second line of the screenshot). I can’t fully tell if that means the characters are only after hours, but that would make it a lot simpler for the CMs to police whether a member is staying on points and who is meeting the characters because they would be the only ones allowed in the lounge.
I’ll be there next weekend–staying at ASSports, so obviously not on points. I will try to see if I can get better clarification. I don’t care much about the character greeting, but I’d love to use the lounge after hours with my membership.

I just realized I was going to report back on the “staying on points” restriction for the character greet at the EP lounge. I was there last weekend and asked the CM at the podium. She told me that “technically” you need to be staying on points to do the character greet after hours, but they might be flexible about it. She told me that at their meeting the prior week, they were instructed to be pretty strict about it so that they can get accurate counts. But then she also told me that she’d let me in as long as I had the membership. I didn’t end up trying to go do the character thing because of timing (and my party wasn’t too interested in character photos), but if I had wanted to do that I definitely would have tried. So it sounds like it may depend on the CM and perhaps how busy it is up there. At least for now.
If you are a fan of the EP lounge (I am!), the membership is very nice because you move to the front of the wait list. In my experience there is almost always a wait list. I noticed them giving a sales speech for the membership to those who were being added to the wait list. 
That makes perfect sense, except if they sell too many, it potentially diminishes that particular benefit.

It’s why nobody has AFI whether or when they can or cannot get into the actual TOWL (and not just on the obs deck) on any given day or hour.
Make a rule and stick to it so people know how to plan

I hear you. I’m just reporting back. 
I do find the “staying on points” rule unnecessarily restrictive, though, and I’d hate to be the CM trying to defend that line.
Which reminds me, what are the rules about going to TOWL. . . .

Curious if anyone has used the beyond membership yet to purchase discounted WDW tickets?
It says household members only. Our immediate household members all have APs, so have no use for that benefit, but my sister is coming and staying with us booked under our membership. AssumingI won’t be able to use this perk because she doesn’t live with us?
Wonder how they know? Addresses change all the time.
I would maybe call and ask what your household members need to bring to prove there eligibility when they go to use the tickets.

I’m very late to this conversation (immersed in a new job the past few months)
I was just looking at this because we want to hit Disneyland next year- so if I bought the magic upgrade how many people can I buy these tickets for?

That I don’t know. It says members of your household, but I haven’t actually tried to buy tickets yet. Once you have them, I would think you could link them to anyone.
