We’re international and will be hiring a car. Our plan is to stop at a nearby supermarket before checking in, to pick up some groceries and to browse the aisles. (A fun thing we do in other countries… are we the only ones?)
We’ve shopped at the Walmart near Doctor Phillips before, but I’m wondering if there is a better store elsewhere. Keen for good prices, and possible a chain that does Disney licenced clothing too.
I love Publix, and my preferred location is at Water Tower something something in Celebration. It’s super convenient to getting to World Drive after to go everywhere on property. The store is always clean, well stocked, and with plenty of very friendly, helpful associates
Once in awhile, we go to Winn-Dixie but the store appears old and the fruits and veggies can be a bit sad looking. Prices on national brands here are cheaper than Publix.
I think I ended up choosing mine because it is first on the way from the airport. I’m curious to try yours now (because why not?!) since they are both the same distance from OKW (which I chose for a landing spot since it’s fairly often for us)
Update - seems that’s not quite the case! Your Apopka Vineland location technically comes up first on the route I take. Interesting…
I should also mention to the OP that Publix and Winn-Dixie both have large selections of Disney stuff, including clothing. I have bought Disney themed ponchos from both of these stores.
Target, WalMart, even CVS Drugs usually have Disney merchandise. Also Disney Gifts Outlet in Blue Heron Resort on State Road 535. There are 2 Disney outlet stores in Orlando, however they can be very busy. Have a magical trip!
