NDR: What is everyone reading?

As a pretty avid reader, I’m always curious what others are reading.

I just finished Close Your Eyes, Hold Hands by Chris Bohjalian, and The Matchmaker by Elin Hilderbrand. I enjoyed both quite a lot. I just started Syndrome E by Franck Thilliez and so far so good.

what are you reading today?

Currently Salem’s Lot. I decided to go back and re-read some Stephen King. I’ve read almost every one of his books but i haven’t been reading nearly as much the past few years and I thought it might help me get back into it.

I’m a Sci Fi and Fantasy reader. Please don’t mock me. I just got an email telling me that a copy of Robogenesis (the new sequel to Robopocalypse) is waiting for me at the library, so that’s what I’ll be reading this afternoon. I usually read 2-3 books a week, so it’s always something new! I’m also reading Anne of Green Gables aloud to my boys this week. They’re loving it.

Have you read 11/22/63? Soooo good! Reminded me of his older stuff. The Stand is my favorite.

I haven’t @fallgirl . I haven’t read several of his latest books so i’m going back and re-reading some of my favorites, while collecting them on Kindle, to hopefully get back into reading more. Some of my favorites are IT, The entire gunslinger series, Insomnia, Misery, The Talisman, and Geralds game.

@ outer Middle DD is a big fan so I’m starting to read a few of the newer ones while digging out my older ones for her.
I’m saving latest Child/Preston book for vaca.

like mystery/crime books. Just finished Dust by Patricia Cornwell and Killers by Jonathan Kellerman. On more on a “chick” book front, Mary Alice Munroe’s Book Club is really good. @ThatDisneyGuy_outer1 I really like Stephen King and enjoyed Doctor Sleep, the sorta “sequel” to the Shining. The Stand is my favorite, though.

I really like the stand, but I have to admit it totally skeeves me out reading it lol.

I’m reading The Pact by Jodi Picoult. So far it’s pretty good!

I just finished The Book Thief. I can’t watch a movie that was based upon a book until I’ve read it. I just started the 3rd Game of Thrones book, A Storm of Swords. I’m very late to the game on this series but I LOVE it.

I really like her books but they usually result in a lot of tears so I have’t read one in awhile. Haven’t read The Pact yet. I’ll have to add this to my list of books to check out.

I’d love to hear about it too @999HappyHaunts! I’m a chick with a science degree and am a certified HS science teacher, MS science teacher, elementary generalist, and gifted and talented specialist. Science girls rule!

I need some good reads for vacation soon. I will have to assemble a list from the ideas above. Thanks for sharing!

The Book Thief was a really awesome book! I recommend reading The Fault in Our Stars. That one was also good and a tear jerker for sure.
