I did see that 5th Bar! And DD is 21. But I know she’s going to want to see fireworks in person ![]()
if they go.
They are Friday and Saturday? If allowed?
Friday, Saturday and Sunday is the most they’ll attempt during non-peak or non-holiday seasons.
And if they can launch them is all dependent on the wind speed and direction. Since the I-5 and a residential neighborhood are directly north of the launch site, they have to be so careful. Both to protect the people driving and living there, but there’s also monetary considerations too. They get fined heavily if any debris ends up on the freeway (to incentivize keeping it safe).
Mama Katsu is sooooo good! It’s Korean street food, and a lot of it is stuff I’ve eaten over and over in Korea. The Gyoza is excellent, their ddukbokki (what’s the official spelling? tteokbokki? Toppoki?) is nice and spicy! Get it with ramen, trust me!
This is one place I am going to miss when we stop going to Anaheim.
!!!
Why will you stop going to Anaheim?
The runDisney races in Anaheim are going back on hiatus after the next set of runs in late January.
I’ll have to keep this in our back pocket for whenever we’re next in Anaheim. I know we love the Boba place and DD gets at least one per trip, if not multiple times and Korean street food sounds right up our alley!
WHAAAA???!?!?!
I also have this question.
But planes still fly to Anaheim and DLR still opens the parks even if they’re not holding runDisney events
![]()
Yes yes I know. But it’s just her raison d’être for going to Disney in the first place
I guess I can understand that. runDisney looks so much fun (insane early wake-ups aside).
I’m guessing they paused while they do major DCA construction and then we’ll possibly see it come back once the dust has settled on all the new Coco/Avatar/Marvel projects. And maybe if it’s a long pause like the last one, you’ll both get an itch you need to scratch (even if it is for Mama Katsu’s) and get back out this way!!
I just saw that Incredicoaster is down during my trip AND there are no nights with Paint the Night listed. ![]()
Oh no, that sucks.
As for Incredicoaster, it seems to need frequent refurbishments and looks like it has a long one this time.
Paint the Night… I thought it would be back after the Christmas parade, but looks like not until January 30th. I just happen to be there that day, it’s going to be madness in the evening now. I guess the upside is you get Wondrous Journeys which is amazing, and hopefully lower crowds.
I’m glad you have a good word for Wondrous Journeys. I am so bummed about no Paint the Night. And I’m sad Marie will not get to do Incredicoaster. Pixar Pier was under construction when we were there in 2018.
At least F! and WOC are listed, too. ![]()
I am bummed for both of you!
Nooooooo! ugh why are they skipping over almost all of January without PTN?? That truly sucks. And Incredicoaster too. I know that’s a favorite for you and if Marie hasn’t done it, it’s definitely a must do.
Honestly, I won’t advertise to her we are missing Paint the Night. She has been SO busy with school (TODAY IS HER LAST DAY OF COLLEGE!! - exams next week) that she really hasn’t done any research.
I will have to tell her we are missing Incredicoaster.
We leave in 27 days and I haven’t even bought tickets. I need to do that this weekend.
I have three things planned.
Broken Spell Lounge on arrival day 1/8
F! dining package at Rancho del Zocalo for the 1st F! show on 1/10
Storytellers Cafe 11:50AM on 1/12
Do you see any negatives anywhere?
Sounds like a fun lounge to have for arrival day
I don’t do F! without a dining package so, yes great choice!
The breakfast/brunch buffet at Storytellers is such a good choice, and that’s a great time to be breaking from the parks after a productive morning.
Not a one!
We leave for UOR/WDW in 21 days and I haven’t bought my kids tickets to WDW yet. Guess maybe I should do that. They are so expensive for a 4 or 5 day ticket! I’ve had an AP/Magic Key so long that one time trip tickets seem ridiculously priced.
Oh, it’s bananas what tix cost now. I’m taking a break after this trip. Zero plans til an after hours in July. And that’s still only pencilled in.
Thank you !
I bought our tickets in an Undercover Tourist package with the hotel on Nov 11 for Nov 24-27 which was pushing it (for the hotel at least) than I’ve ever pushed it. But we also were ok with seeing what Priceline express deals we could get in the vicinity if we didn’t end up staying onsite at UOR and weren’t sure our budget could pull it off.
Here’s a question for all you Best Coast visitors.
I know the forecast can change quickly for the Pacific, but at the moment, it looks like daily lows/highs are projected to be mid 40’s to mid 60’s, and sunny. I was planning on jeans and a light sweater. And then bringing a zip-up hoodie. Sneakers. Does this sound reasonable @Wahoohokie @lolabear_la @Julianne_fki @illini74 @Jeff_AZ @stlouie
I am nervous about my liquids and packing and all the stuff. I am not great at flying.
I’ve downloaded my Uber app. I think I am “ready” for this trip.
AND I am so psyched about new foods being posted on IG for DLR starting 1/8. ![]()
