We have a couple of people in our party flying in to meet us at Disney. My son will get there before us because we are driving and getting in later. My future daughter in law is flying in the next day because of her work schedule. My son can pick her up, but not sure if it would be just as easy for her to get transportation to POP. What is the most economical way for them to do this?
Most economical is mears shared shuttle. Roughly $16 pp one way. She could take that right from MCO to Pop
Thank you, that’s what I was thinking too. We have always driven so have never had the need to research it.
If it was for myself I would use Uber / Lyft. For a child / friend / relative, Mears shuttle all the way.
Oh for sure!
I use Lyft / Uber. It’s always $30. They will pick you up right at baggage claim and take you directly to the hotel. Shuttles often wait for full loads. Then they go to each person’s stop / hotel to drop off. I’m happier paying a little more for to save time and hassle!
I have had it quite a bit more - a recent trip was $56 before tip.
Just as another data point.
But I still did it for the convenience factor
Wow! Mine are always $30 - $35… w/ tip. Maybe UOR is closer??
I think UOR is a little closer. I seem to get there faster anyway. Maybe less traffic, too.
Most of mine have been in that range. I was just pointing out that it can be higher based on time of day/date/etc
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but Lynx operates a $2 route from MCO to Disney Springs
UOR is definitely closer to the airport than WDW. So that plays a factor.
Ugh that’s a whole thing, because unless you have ONLY a backpack you’re just in a closer-to-your-resort location with the same problem since you can’t ride a Disney bus with luggage
Ive always found it to be $40-$60 with tip. I don’t ride share solo so I would take Mears. But if you have 2+ people rideshare is worth it for the 30-45+ mins it can save.
Hmm. I guess I’ll go back to using Mears for the trip back to the airport, then. I thought it would be roughly the same price. But we talking about almost double what Mears is to use Uber/Lyft.
I like rideshare for the return trip no matter how I got myself to WDW. I feel like you have more control over your own destiny with that and for the convenience I feel like it’s worth it.
Good info. I didn’t know that, but it totally makes sense.
This is why I get a rental car, especially on race weekends. It’s not cheap, but I like having my own control.
Some of you don’t want to drive while in Florida, and that’s cool, too!
Which I will do for the right price. $125ish for short trips, $150 for longer ones (solo — with the fam it has to be a big vehicle and that’s a different bracket)
