Definitely  :pensive: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: for Avatar. Not looking forward to this and won’t be going in that area.

I’m excited for all of this! :star_struck:

I’m sad about Monsters, Inc. but with the new land at WDW, I think this attraction will seem even more lackluster.

Same. I finally understand all the people that hate change! :sob::sob::sob::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I love Monsters Inc so very sad it’s going away. I’m not the least bit excited about Avatar. Never saw the movies & don’t plan on ever seeing them.

I really liked Monsters Inc. at DL. I was surprised! I had only planned to ride it once, but did it 3 times.

I think because of the Super Star Limo history this conversion gets more hate than derserved!

I adore Coco!! An actual Coco ride would be awesome! (It would incentive me to get to OBB one day for sure!)

I also feel “meh” about Avatar.

Pandora is beautiful, but I don’t like the movies so I don’t need more of it! :shark:

Same.

I do NOT understand the connection. People have “explained it” to me, but it will never feel like a Disney movie and it is no more connected to Disney’s California Adventure than it is to Animal Kingdom.

I agree with this. It is so funny that I am 100% okay with Coco being back in the Paradise Gardens, Pixar Pier area but 100% do not understand how this fits in that area. Part of me wishes they would make this the Avatar movie set as opposed to part of Pandora. I could get behind that.

Coco fits in Pixar, IMO, because it was a Pixar movie.

I wish Avatar had never invaded the Disney parks-sphere. There’s a bunch of stuff Disney “owns” that doesn’t feel like Disney, IMO.

I used to love Camp Minnie Mickey, and if they wanted to change things up, there were, you know, like a billion animal related IPs they could have inserted.

Understanding the planners has never been my strength.

Can I also add that I hope the Coco update isn’t a “water feature” or a bathroom.

They are super unspecific.

So even though I don’t like the Avatar movies, the land is beautiful and I think fits in a way because of the conservation aspect of AK.

Not sure how that works in DCA. I think the park needs a name change :woman_shrugging:

For real…
were in not for that little corner of the park there’s very little C about DCA

Hmmmm - Maybe it will just be Disney Adventure Park?

The big problem with the Avatar movies is that they are too long. But I think if they were shortened, people would enjoy them more. The second movie was significantly better than the first. I think the land will be beautiful. At AK, Pandora is just beautiful and FOP is oft stated as a favorite ride in all of WDW. The land is particularly popular when it gets dark. Hopefully the same will hold for the new Avatar themed land at DL.

somewhere it says it is a boat ride! With the Monsters Inc ride going away, I hope it is an updated dark ride. I need a minimum number of those in my life.

This is the one concept artwork piece they had previously released of it in a bunch of announcements last year for DL. It will be a dark ride (looks like a boat ride) that takes you through the Land of the Dead with Miguel. I am most excited about this one!

Oh that’s very encouraging. Sweet.
I only opened the one article I see now.

Awesome!
