Monorail to Epcot Starts at 9:00 am? Staying at the Poly

Hello,

I will be staying at the Poly in May 2017. My plan was to do rope drop at Epcot on Tuesday, May 9th. I was hoping to leave at 8:00 am to allow time to get through bag check, etc. But I have noticed that often the monorail to Epcot doesn’t start running until 9:00 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I found a copy of the “Times Guide” from the similar week in May 2016 and, specifically on Tuesday, the start time is 9:00. Does the Polynesian offer alternative transportation to get to Epcot earlier?

Yes, there will be a bus if the monorail is not running.

What time would the bus start running? Is it as early as the buses from resorts not on the monorail?

The bus would start more than an hour before park opening.

Thanks for posting the question, disneygirl678, I’m trying to figure out the same thing. We’re staying at the Poly in January 2017 and have a pre-RD 8:15am breakfast at Garden Grill. I was hoping by staying in the Poly we could avoid the buses to Epcot, but it looks like that might not be the case.

Any chance the monorail would start running from the TTC to Epcot by 8am on a Sunday?
