We are getting into Orlando Friday and staying offsite with a rental car. On Friday night, we don’t have an ADR but would like to grab a quick serve dinner at one of the monorail resorts and then view the fireworks from the Poly beach.
Can we park at one of the resorts? If not, could we park at Disney Springs and take a bus?
Definitely just drive to the Poly and ask if you can park there to go to Captain Cook’s. 90% of the time they will wave you right in. Worst case and they turn you away, you can park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly.
You could also try to park at the Contemporary or Grand Floridian and ask to eat at their quick service locations as well. I’ve been able to do this without a problem.
In December we stayed at a Disney Springs Resort for a non-Disney event. We walked to DS and took the bus to Poly for our MK Area Resort Bar Crawl, stopping at GF, WL, CR and finally back to Poly.
The bus was our transportation of choice since we were having adult beverages but I’m sure you’d be able to park at Poly if you told them you were going to either Capt Cooks or Trader Sams.
