They have DRINK MENUS posted online! I don’t even know what this is but sounds good:
Forever Young
Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cedilla Açaí Liqueur, Muddled Blueberries, Agave Nectar, and fresh Lemon Juice

That’s totally why I was thinking re DFB @emmyannttu!
Sniff. Anyone who puts down Mizner’s is a total ham-and-egger in my book. “Stuffy?” Apparently he’s never been within earshot when any of us in the constellation of regulars is holding court.
Also too, most bars list midnight as their closing time, but 11:30 is normally last call.
Back before WDW got so damned stingy with monorail service, I would very often blow past closing time at Tambu or Mizner’s and get the last or near-last train of the night to myself. I’d then be gently but firmly ushered to a personal bus at the Magic Kingdom, which would then race over to Saratoga Springs or Old Key West well above posted speeds and drop me more-or-less right at my door. I learned that WDW does have friendly transportation angels who will guide the dipsomaniacally inclined to their rest.
Oh, that’s good to know!
If you’re sticking around Crescent Lake, I’d recommend bluezoo. They have a legitimate craft drink menu and the bar food is about the best going. The drinks are a little more “spendy,” but as they’re definitely the iron fist in the velvet glove approach, you probably won’t be knocking them back by the dozen.
Not me, but maybe my mom, lol. I will not be trying to keep up with her. Thanks for the tip - bluezoo is now officially on my list.
I actually recently wrote a blog post on this very topic: http://blog.touringplans.com/2014/06/18/disney-world-hotel-bar-tour/
I prefer the Epcot Resorts for a lot of the reasons that people named. Crew’s Cup at Yacht Club, Belle Vue at Boardwalk, Bluezoo at Dolphin, and the pool bars at the Yacht/Beach and Dolphin are all really good.
Thanks, perfect timing for me. This is all making me wish that my trip was next week and not until November!! And I am looking forward to the bar book that @LaurelStewart said on another post that you are working on.
waaaaaaay at the top I posted a link to your blog @Brian and I think I referred to you as an expert
It’s true, I had already read the blog since @MagicMN posted it. And I want @Brian’s job. I would much rather be an expert on WDW bars than on foreclosure law.
@Iheartepcot right? But I think @Brian also has to be very good at data. AND reflecting on the absolute crazy sky fall that has been going on around here the past few days, not sure you’d want “staff” anywhere near your user name.
But reading the blog posts makes me wish there were Touring Plan events. I would fully follow Brian on a bar crawl. Maybe we could earn a new liner pin for it.
There is generally more to what I do than bar research, but I’m also not going to pretend that I’m not incredibly lucky to be doing this.
I am always willing to lead a bar tour, I guess we’ll just have to send the petition to @Lentesta and @LaurelStewart
@Brian are you in WDW next weekend? There are 14 of us that are going to crawl all over Harambe Nights on August 2! I know Derek wrote the blog post but did you get to go too? I went in June and was craving the party / wanted to go once before before it ends. So rounded up a group of Liners and everyone is flying down (except niter, but he’s always willing ot drive over for free drinks & food)
Sadly no, I won’t be in Florida until September, but we can hopefully work out a meet of some sort then.
Oooh. September when??
Exactly my question @MDU … near crescent lake, say Sept 17th or so?
