Why is the Magic Kingdom at a level 10 the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday? I looked at the historical crowds and its been like this for years. Any thoughts as to why?
A guess:
Since the kids will be out of school before Thanksgiving, why not stretch the vacation out a day or two after the weekend. I know that I check the calendar like that for our vacations. If the kids are off of school for a few days during the week already, you can add 1 or 2 more days and make it a 5 or 7 day vacation, but only keep them out of school for 1 or 2 days.
Since the holiday falls on a Thursday, and many people have paid time off the day after, they’ll start their vacation Wednesday night and carry it a day or two into the following week. What’s the crowd calendar look like Tuesday & Wednesday after that level-10 Monday? I’d bet it gets lower each day the rest of that week.
