Made it though TSA (took about 3 minutes) and got to my gate- I was first person here. Currently 3:32am and we don’t board until 5am. I really am my father’s kid

The lobby and the castle made me tear up. I’m so stressed out from irl stuff happening and this just reminded me that for a week… I’m safe and can escape!
And I got my orange bird sipper. My most important souvenir to bring home. Trip is a success!

I’ve been exploring AKL while waiting for my parents, and I knew I’d love this hotel but… wow. It really just amazes me.
The cultural reps are fantastic!!! Played a fun game about animals and got a bead! Now I am invested and want more beads….

Tuesday and Wednesday were big successes. Taking it easy a little bit this morning so I am just enjoying the outside as the sun rises.

We got back from HS last night, and my dad and I went to the fire pit in the lobby so he could warm up.
He told me that this is the first vacation he’s ever had where he’s just gotten to relax and enjoy himself. He’s always had to plan and drive and worry about many things, especially when my brother and I were younger. My dad said it was hard to for him to let go of the control but giving it to me has made this such a great trip for him.
My dad telling me how good of a job I’m doing being their little “tour guide” really is all I needed to hear

I feel this so deeply! I was the planner for our trip, and my mom has kept talking about how nice it was and how great of a job I did planning it, and it was so nice to have my hard work acknowledged.

Stopping in to say this cupcake is absolutely adorable but a pain to eat. Definitely need a fork for this one.
Heading to AK again this morning for a bit, then going to Sanaa at 1pm for lunch and then Starlight Safari at 8:30 tonight. An easy day for sure.

It’s my last night, and my parents are staying back. I don’t mind being solo. Got a couple LL lined up for late but I decided I wanted to watch HEA since my parents don’t do fireworks. Not a bad spot!

Sitting at my gate waiting for my flight. What a trip. The Disney blues are bad but tomorrow I move into my first home with my partner 
so I’ll be busy lol
My besties from back home want to go on a trip with all of us, so guess I’ll plan in the meantime…
