I’m not sure about the timing but it will sell out. The first and last parties are usually the first ones to sell out.
Last year, Oct 10th sold out on Aug 27, for comparison. All parties sell out in recent years.
Thanks! This is great intel. I think I will buy during the resort guest window but not on the first day to avoid the rush.
This is what we did in 2022 and 2023 (a couple days after the tix went on sale). All the dates sell out so if you want to go, better to buy a little on the early side than risking a sell out by buying on the later side.
As long as you’re not looking for the first or last scheduled parties, you should be ok past the initial rush.
So first party— should I plan on first day?
The first party to sell out is usually 31 Oct. Then comes the first set of parties. So you may not need to get then first day, but the sooner the better.
I was thinking the same but is the 1st day extra crowded?
The first day has an extra assortment of vloggers all over the place.
They all sell out so I assume it’s the same amount of people. The 1st party will have a lot of vloggers and college program CM’s that have never worked a party before ![]()
Since you know the day you want to go, that sounds right. I’m planning to do the same for the 19th or 23rd. As soon as I figure out which we’re doing - the 19th (without DH) or 23rd when he can come but no chance of a do-over if there’s a storm. Or figure a way of sneaking in both… but I also promised DD14 she could do HHN this year so probably not.
Someone at another Disney forum mentioned that the Wine and Dine Half Marathon after party and one of the MNSSHP party dates are the same date. Ugh but that W&D after party is pretty bad. Sorry, Epcot after hours are just bad.
So figuring out what to do for my trip:
10/23 is the night before the 5k
10/24 is the night before the 10k
10/26 is the night after the half marathon
I don’t want my DW too tired for any of the races, but trying to go from 2:30 am on the 26th all the way to midnight just sounds like trouble.
The 27th would’ve been perfect, but nooooo… they had to double up two party nights. (why?)
Agree. If it were me, I’d probably go the night before the 5k. Can DW head back to the resort early that night while you stay at the party?
Chances are, if she goes, I would probably go, but we can probably do a lap around MK from like 7-9 or so and then get back to AKV to sleep.
Nap and resting after the half and then the party?
I know I always felt better if I spent time walking around the afternoon or evening after a half or full.
I’ve never bought tickets for an event. What’s the best way? I see in the app where I will be able to. Do we know what time they go on sale?
I think usually 6am? Seems like in the past special event tickets have gone on sale when my TA was away from the office and someone else was covering for her - I’ve given the person my info in case they are late, but always snagged one on my own around 6am. (And then let the agent covering for mine know that I’m good to go so she doesn’t need to buy one for me.)
That said I’m 95% in the “not going this time” camp for my trip. It would either be 3 late nights in a row (after getting up super early to fly - though not quite as early since I changed to leaving from LGA rather than EWR) OR a late night the night before heading to my cruise. And either one would mean shortening an AK day which makes me sad OR putting those 2 in a row and just doing MK the 24th. It’s going to be one of those leave it alone for now - if I decide to switch things up (before I do my ADRs and specials in June) and it’s sold out, oh well. I’m not obssessed with Halloween anyway…and it’s not like there’s not plenty of food on the cruise.
My experience has been that it is random. If you follow any vloggers like blog mickey or Scott Gustin on social media they are usually the first to post when they are on sale.
I don’t recall any WDW dates selling out within minutes so you should be good keeping an eye on this thread and I or someone will post here as soon as we see news. ![]()
Thank you!
