It seems like visiting MK on party days is a good strategy. MK closing at 4:30 on Jan 30 for a CM event. I’m wondering if crowds for that day may be on the low side like they seem to be on party days? Any insight?

Yup! It tends to be very low crowds on days like that! Go get ‘em!

Yes! I was there 2 years ago in January when it closed at 4:30 and crowds were amazingly low.
I’ll be there again this year on the 30th! Couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a less crowded park.
I expect it’ll open at 8am as well (7:30 early entry)

I was at MK on a MVMCP date (12/06/24) recently. If you can do a “true” RD and be there 45 - 60 minutes before opening, you can have so much fun! People will still trickle in through mid-morning and such, but not the levels on a typical operating date! Have fun!
With no Early Park Admission and arriving 45+ minutes early I did the following, from 9am - 2pm, before hopping to another park

Space Mt. - twice
MILF
Astro
Buzz
Met Mickey
Met Mirabel
Tea Cups
Pooh
7DMT
Haunted Mansion - Twice
TBA
Jungle Cruise
PoC
LTT- lunch for about 75 minutes or so too in this time!
I didn’t do most of “shows” like Country Bears, CoP, Belle or Tiki… almost all rides except those two characters and MILF. (I’d never seen MILF before and I wouldn’t have stopped for Maribel, but there were only 4 people waiting.)
I would like to say I travelled solo. I don’t have to slow down for children or tired adults…

Then I was headed to Tron, but stopped at Space Mt. as it posted 5 mins (walk-on)
When I got out, Tron was Posted at 25 minutes, but I was on in about 10…
My longest waits of the day were 7DMT and TBA both at about 15 - 20 minutes…
Everything else was 5 - 10 minutes / walk-on until at least Noon…
