Going to be in MK daytime and then doing After Hours. Trying to decide when to arrive for the day and when to start LL. We’ll do a sit down dinner before AH. I’m thinking of arriving 12:00, or 1:00? I’d definitely want to ride Tiana during the afternoon and Tron. What would you select as earliest lightning lane? 10am?
Honestly you can do so much during AH I would consider a midafternoon meal (2ish) and then into park and stay for the duration. AH at MK is top notch!

We’re doing After Hours in May. After much consideration, I decided to skip doing the park (or any park, for that matter) during the day. I think we’d just be too tired if we tried. (And we don’t even have kids…)
Tiana’s should still be open if you hit it up at soon as you enter MK for After Hours (which starts at 7pm), and most people report that waiting until later on in After Hours will give you the lowest wait times for Tron.
Granted, I’ve been to MK 3x before, so I would probably answer the question differently if it was my first (and or possibly only) trip, and I felt like I had to squeeze in absolutely everything. In particular, I wouldn’t want to miss the parade if it was a first/only trip.
But currently, our plan is to sleep in, hit up Fantasia mini golf, do a nice relaxed lunch at Sanaa, hit up the pool at our resort, nap, and then either an early dinner at Ohana (if we can snag the res) or Beaches and Cream for dinner, before being ready to “rope drop” After Hours. We’re not doing a second MK day later in our trip - we feel like After Hours will be enough.

I echo this sentiment! We did AH at MK in January. The event was 10-1. Park close was 10 pm. We arrived at 8 pm. Literally did nothing all day except eat lunch at the Poly (we were staying at BLT). Used LLs for Space, Buzz and the Speedway. Watched MILF and rode the PM before 10. We also had a LLSP for Tron from 9-10 but it shut down right as we were walking up to the queue and ended up getting a refund at GS at the end of the night when we were leaving the park. During the event we rode Dumbo, WtP, iasw, PPF, HM, JC, POC, the Carrousel and 7D x2. We also stopped for lots of ice cream, drinks and popcorn. AH at MK really is wonderful.
