Mini golf - reservation needed?

How easy is it to get a walk up for mini golf? I definitely don’t want to commit to it. Is one less popular than the other? It would be evening in June.

Here are some reports from Liners. None of them mentioned a reservation but maybe they will chime in - it seems like they were just walk-ins.

I have not had a reservation the last four times.

The first time I tried to go in 2022 I DID have a reservation and it was a deluge of water and cancelling it was extremely difficult. Even with the front desk at All Star Movies helping me.

I don’t recall reservations either. I’m not saying you can’t get one but it’s not like an ADR where you do it in the app. You could try calling? Fantasia Gardens seems to have the longest wait. I haven’t waited at Winter Summerland more than 10-15 mins. We’ve only done morning/ early afternoon times so not sure if later in the day changes things. I know the free golf offer that comes with the packages or the convention tix does have some stipulates about when you can go. Iirc, it was before 4pm. But I can’t recall if that was at both mini golf locations or just Fantasia. And it could just be a weekend stipulation? Not sure about those specifics but just thought I’d mention it.

How did you make the reservation?

It’s definitely easy to walk up, but there may be a wait, depending on how busy they are. I’m guessing that, like the parks, they are probably less busy when they first open out closer to closing time, but maybe someone else knows for sure.

Go ahead and head over when you’d like to play. If you are at Fantasia & you have to wait, head into the hotel there. They have a coffee bar and a pool bar and plenty of comfy seating.

We did the Winter side of WinterSummerland in November and it was a walk on. I didn’t even know you could make reservations.

I’ve done the Winter and Summer courses at Wintersummerland and never had a reservation. Might have waited 10 minutes…

There is parking at both, right?

Yes:

Fantasia Gardens:

Parking: FREE, but needs to be verified at the desk. The parking lot is shared with the Swan Reserve Hotel, so you go through a parking gate that will give you a ticket, bring it to the check-in, and have them verify it. Park on the left-hand side; there are spaces reserved for Fantasia Gardens.

Winter Summerland:

Parking: Free; there is a small parking lot where the sign is, and you can park in the Blizzard Beach lot.

Overall, Winter Summerland sounds like such a more relaxed experience.

Yes if we go I’ll do Summerland.

They have 2 sides. 1 is easy (easier than Winter Summerland IMO) and the other side should only be attempted by actual golf players, lol.

They open at 10 am

More popular in the evenings

We usually go by noon and don’t wait very long.

We’ve mostly done one or both sides of WinterSummerland.

There is also foot golf at the 9 hole regular golf course. I keep wanting to do that but we’ve not got there yet.

Also, a couple of the resorts offer free pickle ball clinics. Another thing I’m meaning to try.

I’ve done both sides of Winter/Summer and like them the same. They have better shade. It looked a little run down last November. But not bad bad.

I’ve done the same side of Fantasia twice (other side was being refurbished). It’s more challenging, but I like the location and theming.

You can’t go wrong.
