Ha! My DW and I were just talking about this recently - there were ash trays EVERYWHERE.

The community college in my hometown was commonly disparaged as “high school with ash trays.”
And my high school had a smoking area for students (altho I think just those 18+) outside the back doors.

When I was a freshman in HS, any student could smoke anywhere outside. The next year, they had a tennis court for sophomores and up to smoke in. Then the next year juniors and up could smoke. The last year it was just seniors. We were grandfathered in. However, when the drinking age went up, no such luck. They changed it a couple of weeks before graduation. Not happy.

OMG. I’ve never heard of number neighbors, lol. So which number has to be off? DH and I are kinda number neighbors as our phone numbers are the same except the ending. He’s 19 and I’m 20.

One of mine did too. Although it shouldn’t have and it was for any kid so they wouldn’t skip school during lunch to go smoke. Not a school reject, but I did go to a reject kid private school for 1 year in HS though. It was close to the new house and dad didn’t do his research, lol.
