I think the Yule Cat eats those that don’t receive new clothes for Christmas. So slightly different, but still really weird.
I’m familiar with the Yule Lads but not the cat so I assumed it was right - but yes you are correct.
I only learned of it recently after going down some rabbit hole. I don’t even remember what I was originally looking into. Still super weird.
Edit: I remember now. It was in a book series called Dungeon Crawler Carl and I felt compelled to look it up.
