I like that he likes the mini Cokes and he likes to drink a lot of them.
Oh no are we doing another bar v. sandwich thing
âSpicy waterâ
Thatâs rightâŚitâs not pop, itâs not soda, itâs not a soft drink, itâs coke!
I think this is pretty regional thoughâŚgoing to have to figure out where he lives.
I would almost think the northeast. I feel like when I was little anyway all soda was coke. I think now itâs more all soda
I wouldnât have guessed the NE! Iâm in Louisville, and growing up, everything was all coke. But even in northern KY, they used pop instead, so the region was fairly small.
Itâs a cold drink down here, lol
Old Florida too
FIFY!
I donât care what they calli t in Indy, itâs soda, always will be soda.
I am not sure about this. Maybe part generational/part regional? I grew up in Massachusetts and we said soda (I was born in 82 for reference). My grandparents grew up in Boston proper and all soda was tonic. I never remember a time when everything was a coke. That is just wild to me.
This data comes from a reputable source, but obviously there can be local variation. I notice southern New Hampshire is not uniform, so maybe that accounts for the difference.
We donât call things Coke here unless itâs a coke, lol. Iâve heard âcold drinkâ and soda all my life, lol.
Yes! I knew Iâd seen something like this on a linguistics quiz a few years back.
