I draw two circles on top of each other. First the top circle, then the bottom one. I start each circle on the top and draw counter-clockwise.

I start mostly from the bottom. I also hold my pencil more like I’m drawing. It annoyed the crap out of teachers in elementary school. I never found a legitimate reason to change how I write it hold my writing utensil, so I never changed.
