MCO terminal question

Has anyone had to do this?

Family is coming into the new terminal on Jet blue. We are taking American to the other terminal. I read there is a shuttle after baggage claim they can take to the new terminal? Then we are having a car pick us up.

Has anyone done this? Thanks for the tips.

I switched from American to Jet Blue after my flight got canceled once. There is a terminal shuttle situation that runs between A/B and C. They come pretty often and run at all hours from what I understand.
It is a bit of a hike to get over there, but if you’re not rushing to make a flight, it is no big deal.

Thanks! Yea they would just be meeting us to get in our car service picking us up. They land 30 minutes before us.

When I was in terminal c in both September/October I saw the new connecting walkway to A/B. I believe it is open? I have no idea how long a walk that is.

The C tram seems longer than the A/B tram- but still maybe only 5 or 6 mins?

@Figment20 do you have a planned meeting spot in MCO? I would find one that’s hard to miss.

It was supposed to open end of 25, start of 26 - so it might be? But, isn’t that airside? They need to get from C to B/A landside, which is only the tram I think.

My thought was they coulD meet us at our baggage claim? Is that near where the shuttle drops them off?

I’m trying to minimize walking for them.

It is right near the rental counter I believe, if I am remembering correctly. On the way to the train/garage?

Oh, gotcha - I was thinking of the airside connection…which is maybe a future plan? Or maybe was a past plan that never came to be?
The Pedestrian Bridge in Terminal C did open in October, but it only saves you from the outdoor journeys (the hike through the parking garage was annoying) - ultimately it takes you to the terminal link to A/B.

This is a pretty good walkthrough video (though, he must’ve filmed it before the pedestrian bridge, because he made the parking garage journey)…so you can see where it spits you out/picks up on both sides. He does the reverse, but it might give you an idea of the journey. https://youtu.be/VGyteJDDRFc?si=HSoe2tni17pVuYTF

I guess the shuttles still run from Level 1, even when the terminal link is running? I have not tried those and do not know anything about them…

From C terminal you walk to the C parking garage and stay to the right for the tram. The tram drops passengers off at Terminal B side near the Security Check point for gates 70-129. That open lobby would be a good place to meet. They have seating there.

Do you know if that’s where you go to pick up a car service?

This was such a good video!

It might be a hike for them though to go to the train. I’ll send it over and see.

Could you just ask the car service to make two stops? They can chill in Terminal C and the car can pick them up in passenger pickup after they pick you up?

B is the side we have always gone to for rideshare. This is also the side that you go to for Mears. I think you can go to either A or B for ride share though. Are you trying to go to C terminal or have the C terminal people come to you?

Not a bad idea either. If it is rideshare you are using, it’s easy to add a stop.

I have read that Mears also picks up at C?

I called the car service, they said they only make one stop at the airport, or need to have two cars. That was my hope!

We always fly JetBlue but wouldn’t be a problem. But Jet blue got rid of our early morning flight! Hopefully Temporary!

We are having the c terminal people come to us at B for car service to drive us all.

I didn’t know that but it makes sense.

Looks like Level 1 is where the town cars and private car services pick up (according to MCO website map). Looks like American uses the Gates 30-59.

The blue is where your friends will come in to Terminal B. The red is where you will come in. The Purple is areas they could wait and meet you. Or they can go down the escalators (in orange) to Level 1 and wait for you there. The car service could tell you what door or spot they pick up at. Your baggage could be on Level 2 or Level 1. It would be less walking around for them if they took the escalators down to Level 1 and just met you there.

Yes. I have taken Mears from the main A/B terminal to WDW, and it did a brief stop at C to get some people before heading to WDW.
