I am 100% sure from a technology stand point regular magic bands would be compatible. They just aren’t going to let them link in Disneyland MDE. Seems like a pure money grab to me - especially because my daughter won’t wear anything on her wrist and has a magic keeper instead.

Hopefully they bring magic mobile onboard. That is what my DH uses.

So MB+ sales go live today at DLR according to Disneyland daily…

Do we know yet if 1 band can link to both apps?

This article has a lot of information. I don’t see that question addressed directly, but I take it from the below comment that a WDW band will also work at Disneyland. I assume that means you can link in both apps. I’ll keep an eye out for confirmation.

Any idea- I should be eligible for the preview through DVC but can’t figure it out- my upcoming reservations show but I can’t see my DVC membership in the DLR app?

Sorry, I can’t confirm, but if you are a bonafide DVC member, I imagine you should be eligible and your membership benefits should be honored, if only with a visit to GS if something doesn’t work out.

That announcement changed all my anning. Husband and I have 4 old MB each. So does not have any, so my plan was buying him one MB so we could go straight to the park and make sure we get ride pictures.

However. Now that I know MB+ will work in DLR and we have a DLR trip planned in May, I am not sure what we will do. Buu MB+ for everyone? Only son? No one becase Disney does not need more of my money?

So annoying.

I bought one today, the Haunted Mansion one. It works great for PhotoPass and LL redemption. Haven’t used yet at the turnstiles but will this afternoon.

Oh I thought you meant images of MB+ being used in DLR, not of the MB+ models themselves.
