I know that holiday overlays in 2019 at Magic Kingdom will be placed on Tomorrowland Speedway, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, and Mad Tea Party for attendees of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party only. My question is: Will the overlays only be available once the party officially starts, or will they become available starting at 4 p.m., when attendees of the party are actually allowed to enter the park? My guess is that they won’t start until 7 p.m. so that those who aren’t attending the party won’t get that “benefit” for free, but I just wondered if anyone knows for sure. (Obviously, in the case of the outdoor attractions, there would probably be no point in having the holiday overlays turned on before sunset at around 5:30 p.m.)
I can’t give a 100% answer, but when we did MNSSHP last year the overlays didn’t begin until after the party started–in fact, space mountain had some issues so it didn’t actually happen until well into the party. I bet they won’t start until party o’clock.
No. They don’t start turning on the effect until 7pm.
