Contemplating doing a dessert pre-party. Not so much for desserts, but to have a “reserved section” for viewing the fireworks/show with our twin 5-year olds. Also hoping this will provide for a “quick escape” at the end of the show? Any feedback specific to these two points would be appreciated (i.e., is the view good and can you get out of the park easier/faster?)

We did the pre party for the same reasons. The view is good and it is nice to not have to camp out as long to get a nice spot for fireworks, but unfortunately did not bypass the crowds after the fireworks ended, or at least it did not when we were there.
