I just noticed that they came out with new magic bands. We are doing our first off-site trip and my DH wants to get magic bands for the kids (7, 8, 8, 9) just to make it easier to get in the parks. Do you think they need 2.0? Or are the old ones sufficient? I want them on their wrists so they don’t lose them. Thoughts/ recommendations?
The old ones will still work according to the Disney site. But, I think the battery life is only 2 years. Not sure how you check.
We have both and my kids and I actually prefer the old style. The new ones are much larger and seem to make our wrists much sweatier. I’d stick with the old style. Our bands from 2014 still work in the parks.
