Linking non-Disney room reservation?

We’ve booked a room at the Dolphin through American Express using points. We obviously didn’t get an official Disney confirmation number since we didn’t book through them directly, so I’m unable to link the reservation in MDE. After spending multiple hours over multiple days on hold with Disney, I’m getting frustrated. Has anyone experienced this situation and found a better way to link their reservation in MDE?

I think the Dolphin has to give you a Disney reservation number first. Call them, not Disney.

Check your reservation email also. I had 2 conformation #s for Swan. One was the actual MDE one to link.

Sometimes the confirmation from non-Disney rooms does not end up being sent to Disney’s system. Reaching out to the hotel you are staying at is usually the best way to get them to force the push of data back to the Disney system used with MDE.
