Liners on the High Seas 🚢

That’s what the agent on the chat suggested b/c she was befuddled too. She couldn’t believe I was seeing a different date than she was. I’ll ask my DH to try on his computer tomorrow too. BUT I don’t think a time zone should impact the date of departure b/c airline tickets are always shown w/ the local airport date/time and I would think NCL would too b/c a date and time are just that. It’s very unsettling. :frowning:

I’m sorry. I would be very stressed myself. I agree.dates should be static and based on when the ship leaves the port and nothing else.

Here are the two things I see

I looked at this site and it shows your boat in port in Barcelona on Sunday 11/23 leaving at 5pm. The Star Legend is there on Saturday and leaves at 5pm that day.

Thanks for looking

I do see though that if you google the cruise, you get both start dates as possibilities. This is hella confusing! I’m sorry, that’s a lot of stress you don’t need.

it’s very stressful, I would think my boarding passes (just issued this week) should be the correct dates to follow

Yes, I would think the boarding passes are correct. They are for Sunday?

yes, the 23rd is a Sunday

By any chance is the cruise boarding in different places? Like MSC often has people boarding in different places?

My sleuthing is limited. I’m sitting on the pavement by Norway

I don’t know about the boarding thing you speak of. But I do appreciate you taking time away from your family. They are more important than this  :kissing_face_with_closed_eyes:

I’m sitting on the ground waiting…

I mean like the cruise picks up some at one port and then more the next day at another port. MSC often does for Med cruises. But that doesn’t actually fit this situation. I realized that after I asked, but I still wanted to clarify what I was asking about.

Just looked it up myself on the NCL official website and I see November 23rd. Otherwise everything is the same as what you see - including the price! So, why are you seeing 11/22? I have no idea. What time zone are you viewing the website from?

Every other source on the internet is telling me Sunday, 11/23 start date. So I feel very confident that is correct. Something is messed up on your end.

Thank you for looking too! I think our boarding passes and luggage tags should tell the story (be correct) We are currently in Greece (have been since 9/15) time zones/current time:

Greece 0915 hrs Barcelona 0815 hrs Miami 0215 hrs
everything on the NCL website is in USD and once in chat (first booking) they told me to call the Miami office. But again, time zone shouldn’t influence departure dates/times…. right? weird and annoying

Yay! I’m so excited, we bid the lowest possible price on a balcony stateroom and just got the email that we were successful :two_hearts:  only 5 more days

That’s so excellent! I’m so happy for you.

We had balconies in 2016 and barely used them. I never prioritized them again, picking low decks and ocean views instead. Saved money and made easy disembarkation. BUT - this last cruise the only connecting rooms I could find were balconies so that’s what I booked. And we used them a LOT! And it really did feel like we had more space.

I’m SO happy for you!

Having a balcony will help us miss home less  We used our balcony all the time on the WISH. I was concerned about not knowing what time of day it was, recycled air, space in general, fresh air. But didn’t want to pay for the pleasure. We booked interior room, asked for partial refund as they dropped the price after we booked and bid the least amount they would allow for the upgrade. Still have a major savings overall.
While looking at other crossings I noticed that ours was priced higher than others but ours has 7 stops and the others only had 3. Docking fees matter. I’m happy to pay more to visit more countries.

A balcony for that length will be amazing!
