It definitely pays to book early. So, while they donāt have the exact same cruise as what we have bookedā¦we do have a 3-night Very Merrytime Christmas Cruise on the Fantasy from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7 in a extended verandah room. This offer has a 3-night Very Merrytime Cruise on the Wish from Dec. 5 to Dec. 8 in a verandah room.
Our total, including taxes, ground transportation, and gratuities is over $100 less than the base price for the Wish cruise. So, that 40% off price seems to be 40% of the much higher price tag that they have now. HOWEVER, if someone wants to do this more last minute and DIDNāT book early, I guess this is a way to get booked cheaper than current pricing would otherwise allow for.
48 days and I have a question from those much more experienced than me. We added on a specialty dining pkg. but we are unable to reserve a table for two at the only steakhouse (and the main one DH wanted). Plus the app works but the website on my laptop doesnāt. My question is will there be an opportunity to make a reservation, once onboard, and share a 4-8 top table w/ others? If not will they refund out pkg? If we canāt make reservations, what is the point?
OH, and I went back and put my bid in for the upgrade b/c I investigated where the rooms were located, and they are only on certain decks (all acceptable)
I have not sailed on Norwegian since 2016. At that time I had booked directly with the cruise line and I had been assigned a representative. She did all of my reservation making for me. By any chance do you have an assigned representative?
no, I booked it directly through them all-by-myself When I call they ask me the same question
ETA: my DH read online that since there was a problems w/ the site (on one cruise) they had tables set up to take reservations in the "lobbyā area once you got on boardā¦.. that sounds weird to me though
Actually - thatās not too weird. They definitely had tables set up outside the upcharge restaurants on Getaway in 2016! I hope you get what you want.
Just in case this info helps anyone outā¦.we booked a VGT room for our upcoming cruise. Weāre just over 12 days out and we finally got our room assignment. Weāre midship on the 7th floor on the Magic which is where I usually book us anyways. Completely worth the 40% discount.
I think Iāve rarely purchased it and never used it when I did have it. I know there are a few TAs in TP @OBNurseNH & Deb Summers but I canāt remember her TP handle⦠Anyways, what do you all recommend?
I sometimes buy it and sometimes do not. Itās usually based on total outlay. I forgot to buy it for DCL so we had to go after Helene (but Iām glad we did).
My biggest concern is being returned to US if in a hospital in a foreign country.
I worry about this too, but we already have international health insurance through my DH mil retirement. Thank you for the link. NCL sent an email today and their links are worthless, but got me thinking
We bought cancel for any reason insurance for our Bermuda cruise because it was during hurricane season and we did NOT want to go on the cruise if it rerouted to Boston/Canada. (We are from Boston.)
Otherwise we generally feel like we can self insure for our trips depending on size.
