Lightning Lane changes- paging overseas visitors

Would appreciate more details or link to thread where this kind of experiment has been done/works - ideally ios without jailbreak - ive looked into a few and all are fairly flakey.

Also - does this still work after the latest app update dropped the other day? I was hoping that app update would let EU prebook… but no mention of it.

Mine is on Android. I know nothing about I Phones. Yes its still working today no problem

I did a test today to see if I could book LL.
I’m able to book dining from the app even though many others in Europe are not, so obviously I had to test and see.
But nope…
As soon as I press purchase, I get a page saying “Guests must be in the US”
So unfair…

Still hoping it will be fixed/allowed by end of September! :crossed_fingers:

Thanks for reporting back! Sorry it didn’t work for you.

I’ve just tried and failed on my iPad to get 3utools to work to spoof my location. I will try again tomorrow and report back.

@melco reported getting pretty far from Spain with the fake GPS yesterday but didn’t have valid tickets so got stuck at party selection. I happen to be in Canada right now so I got all the way to payment with my AP but we knew it would work in Canada. Haven’t had a chance to try the android or iphone options yet since our trip isn’t till October.

Some single LL not available this morning at 7 am for the 28th 3 days out (7DMT & Rise) but all multi are available except TBA.

It was an android, btw

Thanks, I knew that from your posts but I should have specified.

I know this only helps some of us, but it’s a start.

It’s a start! So they CAN take money from outside the US, huh.

Very good point!

To be fair DVC have never had a problem taking money from us. Whether maintenance fees, Wicked Wind-Down etc.

Plus Disney themselves suggested getting a US based TA to book for us. I guess as long as the transaction is put through by someone in the US.

Who’d have thought!

Of course they can take our money when they want it.
They could take our money if they’d put bookings on the website too- tho we’d have to use a VPN- like when we can pay for enchanting extras that way.

SUCCESS ON IPAD!
I have got my iPad to agree that I’m at the Poly, rather than here in Australia, and it shows like that in MDE.

I installed a VPN on my iPad. I chose Privado VPN. It has servers in Miami, and gives 10GB free download.

I installed 3UTools on my laptop, and tethered my iPad to the laptop. In tools, there is a virtual location option. I used this, and manually typed in the gps coordinates for Trader Sams, which you can get my right clicking on the pin in google maps.

This updated my iPad - my google maps shows WDW, and MDE shows Captain Cook as 100 ft away! I have a free version of 3UTools, which gives 5 free location shifts…

My DH is IT, and he was happy with me to put this on my laptop ( and so on his network ) if it gives you any comfort.

The booking Window for the big family trip I am planning for (but not going on as I value my sanity too much) is not until 9 Sept. if anyone has a window before that and would like screenshots etc, please let me know.

I know it’s faff, but I will jump through some pretty big hoops to get them that booking window. It’s a UK ticket 14 days), and I started it earlier than they were going to use it, so I should get some really good picks for their park days…

Ooh that’s fantastic! Tho I’d need to look up what you mean by tether iPad to laptop.

I’d just come over to post this from a U.K. site:

Sorry, just meant plug it into a computer that has iTunes running…

And I tried their suggestion of disabling location services, and MDE didn’t like it, but I don’t have live park tickets, so it could just be that…

I’ve just seen a video from my TA, who is not US based. She says to disable location in the mobile, and then, in the MDE, set your location to US (in My Account–>Account Settings). Then force closed the app and open again, and it would allow to make advance LLMP purchases.

I don’t know if it would, or if it’s something “illegal”, but hey, just so you know about it.

Thank you, thank you!
Just tried this using MDE on iPhone tethered to pc with 3utools running virtual location and MDE allowed me as far as purchasing MultiPass but said I wasn’t eligible until August 3rd (we arrive 10th)…. So definitely past the geo-fencing!
