This is going to be AMAZING! We love it here and I would hope they would do some Disney themed ones.
There have been survey questions about Boda Borg in the past and this is basically very similar.

Don’t you think this seems overlarge? 1000 players at a time?
I think this might be the NBA experience all over again…
I do not feel that it’s overly large. The one we go to is in the upstairs of the old Sears at the Natick Mall. The 99 refers to the [happy haunts] different games. So if you have 3-5 people in each room at a time then you are looking at ~500 people. Isn’t Disney Quest multiple floors? If you doubled that then there’s your 1000. There’s also a bar/restaurant that would easily pull off 100-200 people.
I’ve done similar style fun centers. They really are fun! I’ve done one that was more of a maze. They had to warn you about dark / tight spaces. I’m not even claustrophobic and had a couple moments where I almost freaked out. Plus, a couple rooms where I couldn’t find the door / exit to the next section.
I’m happy for more “activities” to do in DS ever since The Void left!
My DH and I almost did the Void in 2019 but it was Halloween night and we just wanted to enjoy the atmosphere. I have so many regrets!
The Level99 that I go to has categories for each room so physical, mental, communication, skill, etc. Sometimes my DH and I just skip the physical ones! But I don’t think there are any that are super dark or tight.
That one was a “spooky” maze. It was a series of 20 - 30 connected rooms. Each was in the dark and you has to find the hidden doors to the next room. There were challenges or activities in each room to do.
There is a place locally called Amuse that is more like Level 99 and what you are familiar with. My daughter worked there for a few months last year
It’s a shame I never did The Void. I really wanted to. Anyone here got to do it?
I did! It was awesome!! I did the Star Wars one. You could feel the heat from the lava on Mustafar and the recoil on your blaster. I wanted to do the Wreck-It-Ralph one, but I always thought I could do it on the next visit…
You have been to Boda Borg? Is this like that but bigger?
It’s very similar to Boda Borg. The rooms are less intricate/shorter but along the same lines. I love Boda Borg but I think this concept is a little more fun because they also have some “challenges” that are more out in the open so it’s not just all hallways with doors.
Did y’all do the Star Wars one? That is what generally made me bummed about not having done it.
Never heard of this - I doubt I would spare time for it on vacation but it would be cool to try at home if they ever open a location near here.
This is my favorite date night around here so I probably wouldn’t go unless there were Disney themed rooms. That being said, I would think it would be equivalent to going mini golfing or to the movies at DS which plenty of people do. Especially on a particularly rainy or cold week!
We did the Star Wars one a couple of times and Wreck it Ralph once.
This is an example of one of the “physical challenges.” You have to run through the swinging axes. If they don’t make this Tangled themed then the entire thing is a wasted effort.
Level 99 is a great addition - especially if they are able to work in some Disney themed challenges. If they include it in the extras like they do mini golf or the water parks, even I might stop by on my next trip even though there’s one 30 minutes from me.
It’s more replay-able than a typical escape room as players can try to get more points on individual rooms, and they’re always adding new challenges. You add points to your account over time to encourage return visits as well. They also have decent food and cocktails which is better than most of the competitors in this space.
Very small logistic thoughts, I wonder if they’ll be able to integrate magic bands instead of having to provide a secondary band for players at the door.
I had to dig through a lot of old e-mails, but I found the “results / score” The Void sent you afterwards!
We do not need to know that you went commando for this activity
