Not really, though. And a super fan would know this.

We rope dropped PP. After that, we had about ten minutes of EE, and our choices were limited to primarily FL rides since the walk to Tomorrowland would have eaten that 10 minutes. And since we wanted to do HM, which is a must do ride, we could have gotten in line for SDMT…but the wait there is super long at that point since it is a main RD ride, or LM or WtP. Thing is, IASM is directly across from PP, and effectively right next to HM.

So, we hop over to IASM. Zero wait, literal walk on. The ride itself is about 8 minutes, but during busier times due to loading and unloading delays, you can spend an addition 10-15 minutes just in a boat backup. But not during EE. There was no backup. So we were off the ride and to HM almost exactly at park opening. Doing that saved us probably 20 additional minutes of time for IASM if we waited until later in the day. It also meant we had a walk-on for HM. (And from there we headed straight to Pirates, which had, after HM, still almost no wait.)

So IASM is actually an expert move IF and ONLY if you plan to ride it later in the day anyhow.

You make a strong argument @ryan1

I would endorse WtP if I was doing PP first, myself, but I also would not be heading to HM after (or at all).

My preferred order is usually 7DMT, PP, WtP.

I love IASW, but then to choose it later in the day as it is never too bad AND the queue keeps me out of the sun.

The day we were there, about 95% of the people in front of us went to 7DMT. The rest went to PP. So we had a much shorter wait. But 7DMT is entirely skippable for us. I mean it is fun enough, but only if there is no wait.

To be fair, PP is skippable as well, except for nostalgia. We find the queue more interesting than the ride itself these days!

In my opinion, every last bit of it is completely skippable. Unless it is brand new, I can easily talk myself out of every single ride, attraction, and show.

But since I’ve paid to be there, I do try to do the majority of items.
