I did that last time I was there with wife & kids. They were beat by 10pm. I wanted to stay in MK till closing at 1am. They took DT back to the hotel, I stayed. Got a picture of me looking like a zombie in front of Cinderella’s Castle. I barely was awake enough to get myself to the bus. (which, btw, sucks at closing!)
That begs the question then: how late can one obtain coffee in the park? 
I LOVE the night life also! My kids are getting older so they do better with staying out later. We used to let our kids sleep while we enjoyed the night life
I’ve always wondered this, if your there until 2am are the busses back to the resort still running?

Busses run back to the resort 1 hour after closing. We stayed at SWAN - however we would use SWAN / Boardwalk or Yacht / Beach dependent on line / wait and just walk a bit if necessary
