If your 12 year old wants to listen to the books there are Audiobook versions of all the Kingdom Keepers available

This reminds me of the last time I went to Orlando. I was 14 and my friend invited me to go to FL with her to visit her aunt. We took Amtrak from ME to FL in the cheapest seats possible. I was so uncomfortable trying to sleep in the seat I ended up sleeping on the floor where people’s feet go while my friend stretched out on the seats. It was such a great trip, though. I still love traveling by train when possible, though if it’s overnight I spring for a sleeper car now.
we did too, our toiletries were still en route!!
I wish this train was an option coming down from MI- that’d be fantastic! Have a great trip!!
