Just here for a little support in the exercise of patience

Our resale contract we bought has been deeded and recorded and all that official stuff. I’m now in the excruciating waiting period of 3-4 weeks for Disney to finalize the transfer and load the points into my dashboard. Do I have a trip to book in the immediate future? Nope. Not planning to use those points until June 2025 - but I want to SEE :eyes: them in my account. Friends, it’s not pixie dust I need tonight, it’s patience dust - send it my way.

Can’t send you what I don’t have myself! Patience is not one of my gifts. But I am happy to engage with you in hopes of distracting you from this insufferably long wait!

What resort did you purchase? Will you immediately book your home resort when the points are loaded?

The June 25 trip is going to be so fun! Our family of 5 is taking my brother and his family of 4. Our nephews will be 6 & 4 and it will be their first trip.

We bought a resale at OKW, but we are just going to wait and book at 7 months. We are still deciding on which resort - we are planning to do a 2 bedroom so we can all be together.

Any recommendations on the best 2 bedrooms and/or best resorts for first timers and little boys are welcome!

Can I suggest you book OKW right away and then modify at 7 months? That way you know you have a room booked and since OKW bookings use less points you won’t have to worry about allocating extra points.

I would consider BLT or Kidani for the extra bathrooms (that is true?) but both might be undergoing renovations.

Never leave open the possibility of being unable to obtain a booking by waiting. Always book as soon as you know your dates, preferably at 11mos, and modify at 7 if desired (and available)

Yes these both have a 3rd bathroom in the 2br (though the BLT one is teeny - definitely more of a powder room - IIRC)
I think it’s possible Riviera may also have this?

Yes, I think Riviera too but a resale owner cannot book that?

Oh duh I forget that because I’m a grandfathered (pre-2019) resaler

Ok, you talked me into booking and modifying. And I totally forgot about the Riviera restrictions. Our first contract is direct, so I’ll have to get used to new rules with this one.

I’m afraid BLT will be booked at 7 months - but we’ll give it a shot!

Thanks for the info on the bathroom count. Definitely need to consider that.

You never know what will be available from May-August!

The 2nd bathroom in the BLT 1-bedroom is enormous with a full tub/shower! I have never been in a dedicated 2-bedroom though.

Absolutely reocmmend BLT, m’self, but I’m very biased.

Nope, it’s got a shower/tub. It’s certainly not as obscenely large as the master bathroom, but it’ll get the job done.

That said, keep in mind, BLT is to start construction here soon for renovations. So it might impact your trip a bit and might also make some rooms much harder to get. So booking something now and then modifying later is definitely the way to go.

OK what am I thinking of then that has a tiny powder room - like someone of size might have a hard time being comfortable in the space, and the sink is one of those tiny corner jobbies - right as you walk into the unit, immediately to your right or left?

I dunno? I haven’t stayed at every hotel/room.

I mean, it definitely has a corner sink, but the space on the whole seemed plenty big to me? If size is a concern, it wouldn’t be my first choice, no. But then the obscenely large Master Bath is the one I’d recommend. (and then you can pull back the divider and stare at the rest of the people in the room as you bathe. )

Why do they have those bathroom to bedroom windows  so bizarre.

The little bath would be for my 3 kids, who could also use ours in the primary. The cousins and their parents would take the 2 queens and that bath, so I think overall we’d still be comfortable.

lol no idea. I think the idea was it was to be ‘romantic’ in some way as you and your partner basically use the tub as a hot tub (cause it’s got jets) and then look out the window or watch the TV or something?

But uh… in reality, it’s just weird. I expect it to go away in the refurb.

I think a clear indication of this is the CCV build, which has the window but which has been filled in by glass art through which one cannot see
