Depending on who is in our travel party, we sometimes take the boat. Different people have different leg stamina so the boat is a savior at times, especially for my mother and DS.
I definitely thought of this but if you are at IG to find out that the boats arenât running, itâs still your best bet to just keep walking to BWV rather than walk all the way to the front for a bus or ride share!
Very definitely.
No comparison.
Especially if thereâs a festival on and WS is packed with folks.
Beach Club is even closer than BWV. We did have to wait 20 min but even at 10 pm, the entrance drive was busy. Good entertainment.
We thought going in that weâd alway just walk but it is not a super short walk in the heat and in a rain storm. On the nights we used Lyfts we had dinner reservations we were trying to make and therefore, did not want to get super wet or sweaty before dinner. So, we had hoped for the boats. One night was dinner at Hacienda de San Angel at Epcot. Another night was California Grill - it was raining and therefore we were not digging the buses.
Funny story - my second time at Disney as an adult I had a falling asleep on her feet 7 year old and Illumination had just finished. I had heard about this âinternational gatewayâ and thought we could catch a cab from there. As soon as I saw it was not a parking lot, I decided we should just jump on the boat and see where it went.
As we pulled into Crescent Lake and saw those resorts, I thought they were purely magical. We hopped off at BWI, walked to the front to a waiting Minnie Van (different story but the driver was just like âhop on in!â).
So we take the boat
That is the ideal use case for the boat!
