Jollywood

I bought 2 tix to Jollywood from undercover tourist. I don’t even know for sure if I can get them refunded but assuming I can should I try to cancel those tickets? We won’t really be able to ride anything. DB is in a scooter this trip and can’t do anything that jostles him around. Is the event worth it if we aren’t into character meets and can’t ride anything? Will I regret missing out? We only have that one night at the poly before we switch hotels.

Would you go to Jollywood or just relax at the night time poly vibes.

I haven’t gone myself, but the entertainment and vibes look pretty cool.

To me a bit expensive when you’re talking no rides or characters either, but that’s a personal call.

I think it is a great way to experience Hollywood Studios if you can’t ride any rides. There are several shows, music, food and drink. If you like photopass, last year they had lots of fun ones. I barely rode any rides and dis not do any character meets and enjoyed myself
.
But, you paid a lot for Poly, so there is something to be said for enjoying it.

UT will refund you, but will charge a “restocking” fee. They’ll wavie that fee if you get a credit instead of refund.

I went to Jollywood last year. It was a blast. However it is NOT a relaxing vibe. It’s crowded and you have hustle to get to shows and such down narrow streets

I was supposed to go back this year. However, I got injured and my only option would be to use a scooter to attend. I am choosing not to go because I saw how busy and packed it was last year.

I just watched a live recording from last night. It looks fun. Didn’t look too crowded this year but definitely not relaxing. I’ve decided to request a refund for our tickets and relax at the poly. It is also our arrival day and I think it would be too much for us.

I don’t believe the first Jollywood party was a sell out. There’s still available tickets on most days. Now that reviews are coming out for this year, that may begin to change

Are you cancelling your whole Christmas trip now? I’m sorry, @darkmite2 !

It’s been a crazy few months! I did almost cancel everything. However, I have been seeing a specialist. She’s actually helped bring the pain down to almost nothing most days.

She says going for 8 days would still be too much with the 10 - 15 miles I walk each day in Orlando.

She has cleared me for 2 - 3 days if I don’t push it too much.

I started a thread about it. I’m always looking for suggestions and discussions!

I stalked times last Saturday and Screenshot them. Hope this helps some people! @amywilkh

There reason to believe some of these were shorter than listed, but you can still see the trends.

We did Jollywood last night. We didn’t go for any characters, and we only did one ride (that was technically before the party started.) We had a great time with the shows and the food. It was fairly relaxed for us, but we also planned our showtimes ahead of time and made reservations for Hollywood Brown Derby (sooo worth it and a great way to end the night!)

For some people the food alone may be worth it. If you enjoy the ritzy vibe we really loved the Jazz Lounge feel of the Derby while enjoying some drinks. I’m not sure if you were doing only shows if it’d be worth it. They’re cute but kinda generic imo. As a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fan I loved how much of that was available, but I still wouldn’t go just for the shows personally.

I agree with this. Shows are better at MVMCP but I like the vibe at Jollywood. I think many go there to drink and party. We were more there for the rides which had little to no waits. We walked on to Rise basically and had short waits for MMRR and SDD (less than 20 minutes). Shows were ok. Ice skating was neat and the Jingle Bam was a neat projection show but nothing spectacular. I did enjoy it though and believe it is worth it for anyone considering it.

I really enjoyed it last year. I’m even debating going while there this weekend. It’s a high price tag when MK is open until 11pm that same night…
