This isn’t a very long interview, worth reading to realize just a small portion of what Joe Rohde accomplished as an Imagineer. I hope he writes a few books one day, but he seems too busy still to take the time!

As I was reading it I was struck by the idea that one thing he is PHENOMENAL at - aside from creating - is communicating. I would LOVE to read or hear him speak about the art of communicating. The idea that he showed up to a meeting dressed like the person he was meeting with (who in turn dressed like him, each unaware that they were doing this) tells me he has a keen sense of how to approach people. But more importantly that he can figure out how to tailor that to match the communication receiving style of the person/people he is talking with. I think above all else, this is what allowed AK to end up being created in the unique way that it was.
I am still devastatingly sad that I was planning to go to the Tiffin Talk he was giving at AK in April 2020. And we all know how that went.

I love how so much of his Instagram feed is like taking an art and design history course. 
He is always 7 levels deeper and 5 miles ahead of anything I’m expecting when discussing whatever topic.
