January-June 2025, Discounts released!

That’s a pretty hefty change though. I am no longer planning that stay now bc of it.

That’s crummy :frowning: Sorry to hear that.

Can you shift dates around so that they do all qualify?

Thanks, I was able to save $663 for my March trip.

Sadly no. I needed the first couple nights leading into a DVC stay starting on a Sunday.

It was this way in 2023 for my trip. They make it seem when you price/book that the discount is for each day but when you dig deeper, it is just for those specific days.

This is what happened to me too when I recently booked a bounceback offer. I thought I was getting a discount of 35% on all nights. I went back and checked the math after I booked it to make sure it was in fact 35%. It wasn’t. When I called, the CM realized that 2 nights fell outside of the discount period. I then went back and changed the dates.

That being said, I don’t really have a problem with them only giving the discount on the published eligible dates, but I wish the CM would have warned me that 2 of my nights didn’t qualify before I actually booked. I think part of the problem is that the bounceback offers are booked as a basic package rather than a room only reservation. So, the CM’s might not see the details of each night when they are booking it. They just give you a total package price.
Buyer beware! It always pays to go back and check to make sure you got the proper discount on every night!

I think its fair, but it definitely makes you jump through more hoops and is less generous…

It is always important to remember that Disney doesn’t offer discounts to be generous. They aren’t there because they want to save guests money. They are there so they can fill up rooms, plain and simple. Any business will want to offer the bare minimum they can to sell as much as they can.

It is like how the Dining Plan, on average, is not a good financial decision for a vast majority of guests…Disney sells it because it earns them more revenue.

Disney doesn’t like it that guests who are already booked call in to request discounts, since that is not who they are targeting. But they would make those guests mad if they didn’t allow it. But what they do instead is offer discounts on the rooms they are less likely to fill. They might not offer the discount on a Standard Views room, but will on a preferred because they have a harder time selling preferred room (as a hypothetical example).

I tried getting a better rate on our end of January trip at Pop, and no go. I booked earlier this year at $175 a night. Has anyone gotten better with the deals?

I let my DS know about the discount, and he was able to save $150 during his stay at CBR in January.

I have the same two room types booked for both December and February. In December the discount on the standard room is 25% for the regular discount and 30 - 35% for the AP discount. I have the deluxe room booked on a BB, so I can’t say for sure about those discounts. In February the discount on the standard room is 10% for the regular discount, I have not been able to book any AP nights yet. For the deluxe room, I was able to get my whole stay on the AP rate and it was 15% off. So yeah, I think it’s safe to say that these new discounts are not as robust.

Also, just an interesting note, I could not get the regular discount for my February standard room when I put in any combination of consecutive nights, but when I went night by night, I was able to get 4 out of the 5 nights. I’ll keep stalking the other night. Then, hopefully, guest services will combine all my single nights into one reservation. They’ve done it before, so I know it’s possible. I always seem to find myself clawing my way to a discount one night at a time

I was really hoping for something from this round of discounts. Nada. I have 3 nights in February that I did not have enough points for. Was initially planning on the bounceback but my dates 2/6-2/9 were not covered. I had booked 3 nights at CBR Std room at rack rate, total came out to $1099 and change. Cheapest room available was King bed at FQ for $1200 and change. No Pop or All Stars, a lot of $500+/night deluxe rooms open.

Booked the Dolphin instead for just over $1100

This again???
I’m there 2/1-5

It’s feeling intentional by now

I also got a great bounce back for Pop next February that can’t be beat with the new discount offer.

Those are just the last 3 nights. I will be there for almost 2 weeks. Some time in Disney some time in Universal. I am sure I will see you.

I sometimes just do what I want, whether or not it’s logical. I like preferred pool at Pop. I like being near Hippy Dippy. Naturally when I looked last night, discount still available for all views except preferred pool.

Last year, same scenario with the Visa discount, we did downgrade to preferred. Room was we got was great. This year, no, I want preferred pool.

Today when I looked, there aren’t any views remaining on discount for our days! So now I’m posting on a forum trying to justify why I like spending money :joy: :joy: :joy:

No justification necessary. We’re all pretty much Disney addicts around here!
