What’s the verdict? Does your smile mean you give the water park a thumbs up?
I love the lazy River chair rafts!!! They look much easier to get into than the inner tubes!!!
I can’t get in and out the regular ones. These are fantastic! I try to give them to people over 40 when we get out!
I wish I could find wait times slides on the app easily. I hurt my left ankle 2 days ago. Today Im feeling it. Im not running around to find out its 30mins.
We did the family raft ride and the single ride next to Kugamunga drop ride. Been in the lazy river a lot. Wish we had swim shoes. But so far I’m enjoying the relax.
Also, Imay have just extended our time by pushing our flight to 9:45 ish! I used 2 of our upgrades A1-15 because the new flights were BG “B”. It was only $40 each, $80. Though I lost my $25 for early bird by canceling. Whatever. 9% battery left on phone. Have to keep screen bright to see!
Been there! It sucks when you get injured on a trip. I’ve “played thru the pain” more than once and it’s generally awful even if I’m in Orlando!
Feel better & try to not push it when you get home!!
I have loads of Ibuprofen and I took half of DHs pain meds and have been careful. The lazy river is a nice little highway.
It’s been easy to get a raft in the lazy river which is nice. I dont love intense rides but like a little thrill so Crushing Gusher (middle slide for speed, right slide for height) and Mayday are our favs.
Just closed for thunder. We’re haveing a drink then shower and to Pop to collect our bags and head home.
Work tomorrow is gonna be rough! But worth it.
We’re pushing it juuuuust a bit. It was storming. We called a lyft. Almost to pop, grab our bags and turn right around to MCO. We don’t have to check anything so hopefully it will be fine. Our flight doesn’t actually leave till 9:50.
DH went around telling a lot of people, “Yeah, we should be home right now but my wife bumped our flight because she didn’t want to get out the lazy river”.
A day in Disney, even if it’s just a water park or by the pool, is better than a day at home.
We are lucky to have MiL next door. We figured she would feed the animals when she saw we werent home. She comes by every evening at dinner time to dole out the treats (7 pm). Sure enough she was feeding them when DH called to ask. And apparently the dog was being pushy!
I hope your flight home goes smoothly!!
It sounds like it was a good time! I hope your ankle heals quickly and it’s an easy flight home. At least you don’t have to worry about rushing now!
It was a very decent flight. 45% full. And it came in delayed like it said. Which I’m glad it didn’t get pushed. Timing worked great.
We just got home. Gave the animals lovin and now in bed.
Ill have some thoughts on some things. But for now I’m just glad to be home.
Slightly turbulent but we had mimosas so
Waking up not in Disney is hard These short trips just aren’t long enough. While I’m glad to be able to have done them this year and last, I need a proper stint in the world. Unfortunately this may not happen until 2026. Next year we will only have 1 Disney trip and that will be to DL. I still have a couple days in October before our Mexico trip. That will have to be enough for now.
DH has been a real trooper. When I bought my AP he wasn’t having nearly the back problems he is having now. Even in our March trip he thought he just wasn’t wearing the right shoes.
But it’s apparent all the walking all day long is a no go till he can get some relief. The doctor did change up his medications, which I think will work MUCH better for him. But he didn’t want to start something drastically new right before our trip. The change does call for a 4 day steroid regime at the start.
So for now I daydream about all the fun we’ve had and how Disney heat is SOOOOOO much better than the heat at home. Like I said before, I’m not saying it’s hot in New Orleans right now but I just saw 2 hobbits throw a ring into Lake Pontchartrain!
I have enjoyed this trip report so much, and then you mentioned Lake Pontchartrain at the very end, which sent my mind off on another bunny trail. In 1976, when I was 9, we took the Crescent train from Atlanta to New Orleans, and my mother absolutely gripped the arm rests and bit her lip the whole time we crossed Lake Pontchartrain. She lived there during WWII, and back then, every once in a while, a boat would knock out a span of the bridge over the lake. It was dark by the time we got there, and she was scared we would fly off into the lake!
We were fine… now I wish I could throw a ring into it! LOL!
They have rebuilt or are rebuilding all of the Lake P bridges. I’ve been on the Huey P. Bridge when a barge tapped it (the one going over the Mississippi just a few miles up the river from the New Orleans Mississippi River Bridge). I really don’t like driving over water but that bridge just shook a little and that was it. Later on my gramps told me they started making the bridges around there better after the war when the soilders came home. It sounds like they had an issue!
