Even if it was weed (something that I have truly never tried), if it wasn’t specifically bothering me I’d take a live and let live attitude and say let him have his fun (or his medication, depending on his situation). If it was offensive to me and negatively affecting my own enjoyment, I’d probably say something to him nicely, and if it went downhill, I’d call the front desk to report it.

After a few days there, I do think that the man was asked to leave. He had been noisy since the day he arrived and then it was very quiet. Medical or not the only way for my room to smell was if he was also smoking in his room.
