I booked the Wish 9/30

I’d use it to give you an idea of what to look for when you get to port and can see your actual itinerary. Since you have a different itinerary, they could switch up the days accordingly. And since a year has passed, they may have dropped some activities or added new ones. Also, activities can get added on the fly, eg. on our first cruise it started raining on the afternoon of castaway cay so they added activities on the ship.

Your schedule with a different line-up will be a mash-up of things listed on a navigator for a sailing to your same port but in different order. The days in the same ports will match but then mixed with the night’s entertainment that will stick to similar schedule/order with maybe just night’s 2 & 3 being mixed up. It’s still helpful to go about looking at slightly different schedules to see what’s a possible combination.

But to get a really good idea of what night for what things and the general hours of things, I like to find an itinerary that’s the same pattern of ports on the same ship, and then with the same theme i.e. Halloween on the High Seas (if at all possible, sometimes it’s not).

I used DisneyCruiseLineBlog’s daily itineraries for the Wish to find a sailing that goes out the same port pattern as yours (PC-Nassau-CC-At Sea) and clicking on it brings me to this page:

https://disneycruiselineblog.com/cruise-planning/itineraries/itinerary-summary/?itinerary=541

If you scroll down you’ll see a list of every other single sailing that has those same pattern of port stops on the Wish both those that have passed and scheduled upcoming. And then scrolling down even further has a list of past sailings from the list above where Personal Navigators were submitted. This will be your best bet to finding the ones that will most likely match up to what you’ll get.

It looks like something was submitted last for this pattern of ports for the May 20 2024 sailing and there is one Halloween on the High Seas set of navigators submitted from last year (Sept 18 2023). So both of those are good ones to scope through. There are times when if there are activities I really care about (i.e. Oceaneer Open house time or any specific character meets), I start mapping out on a spreadsheet and comparing which days it’s happened on past cruises to then make sure I don’t plan other activities we want to do over that same time.

Thank you!

I have a smaller party than usual, so I’m
Hoping that helps. Both like interested girls.

We are so excited. We did go ahead and get magic band +’s for three of us. DH didn’t want one.

We have planned outfits for each night - we need to hit up goodwill (or the like) for piratey stuff.

I found a few things in our navigator that we liked:
-youth club open house (& everyone says icebreakers on the first night, but DD was too shy to go to that)
-the tree on the 1st night
-bingo
-photos before or after dinner
-look for any special photos you might want eg. they might have cinderella’s slipper, aladdin’s lamp
-marvel super fan face off
-family time game show - we watched this a couple of times, if you get some good sport families it can be really funny
-we also went to another game that was cute - it might have been mouseketeer madness but I’m not sure
-i’ve heard people like to get the free bracelet charms, but I’ve never done that
-if your girls are at the kids club later in the evening and match your mate is happening it’s really popular - we were later and it was really full so we didn’t stay
-the activities in the atrium after 10 pm the last night

Great list! We also loved the chandelier lighting that happened at midnight each night (I believe it happens at 11pm and maybe also at 10pm too). It wasn’t ever listed in the navigator but it was the best nightcap to every perfect day. It was only maybe 60 seconds or so seconds long though so you definitely want to be there a couple minute before midnight so as not to miss it. And don’t be surprised if people are laying down on the carpet to face directly to the chandelier. We did every night we caught it!

We encouraged DS13 to go to these and he did… begrudgingly… and only with his sister’s (DD11’s) help. He didn’t really end up loving this activity. And on short cruises they do a 2nd one the middle of the 2nd day too. (They were 12 & 10 at the time of the cruise so DD10 had to get a waiver for Edge but we made sure she did so DS12 would have at least one person able to go with him to the club and could still have fun even if he didn’t click with any of the other tweens, but then she was able to go back & forth between Edge & Oceaneer).

I can book Royal Gathering on 8/31.
Do you know what time that is @lolabear_la

in other news, I broke my foot yesterday. Thankfully, my trip is still like 38 days away, so I am hopeful for a lot of healing between now and then. But I may end up canceling our Blue Lagoon if it feels like it’s going to hurt me too much.

I feel like it was midnight but I’m not positive as I forgot to book it at the 30 day mark (did snag a cancellation)

Yes it’s midnight. So either stay up the 30th until midnight or wake up in the middle of the night after going to bed on the 30th.

Is it better to book on computer or phone?

I pull up both and use whatever gets in fastest. Sometimes it’s been the phone, sometimes the computer. I prefer it when the computer gets in first because I like the layout a little better on my laptop screen vs. phone screen, but the phone screen isn’t hard or awful to navigate. Just a smaller screen.

I prefer the computer myself.
Is there a way to practice? Is it the same as booking excursions basically?
I just want Royal Gathering (along with 2000 of my closest friends.)

Royal Gathering will be like booking excursions, yes. And you should be able to see now what page it’s on and where it says the date you can book, as soon as that opens up it will change to a blue button to look up availability. There is likely a Royal Gathering for your sea day and also on Nassau day. So you can try for one or the other (or open multiple tabs on the browser to have one browser ready for each day if you want).

About 10-15 min before, I open both my app on the phone and laptop browser, make sure I’m logged into both. Then keep my eye on the countdown clock in the app & as soon as it gets down into those last few 1-2 seconds, refresh (scroll down on the app, F5/refresh button on the laptop). AND KEEP GOING until either you see the blue button or if 10-15 min later the whole thing has frozen, check the Facebook group to see if anyone was able to get Royal Gathering and if no, then still keep going. But as soon as you see that blue button, you’ll be able to get a list of times & don’t sit & think, pick one and click confirm. They won’t last.

ugh - here I am - waiting up until midnight to try to get Royal Gathering.
I’ve been in bed by 9PM every night since I broke my foot and here I am needing to stay up AND we leave for the beach at 6AM.
This is miserable. :stuck_out_tongue: I will be fit to be tied if I don’t get it.

10AM on Sea Day… I hope that fits!
Going to bed.
I’m exhausted!
29 days to go!

And by staying up later than the rest of my family I just realized I have no one to carry my crutches up the stairs. I can’t make this up…

I just did my confirmation stuff and got a 1:15PM PAT bc I completely forgot DCL has to make everything more complicated than every other line I’ve been on.
I’m really hoping @ThorKat ’s upcoming trip gets my enthusiasm up bc I’m sour on DCL and all the stress they add.
Glad DCL sent a reminder bc otherwise I wouldn’t have remembered on my own.

I guess I have the benefit of ignorance is bliss because I’ve never cruised before

True!!

And if you ever do try another line you will be pleasantly surprised!

What is PAT?

And I wonder when we will be bussed out after our cruise. Probably zero chance of a fly-by in the terminal …
