do you mean a morning and a seperate evening at AK and not full days there?
If I am on a week long trip I would end up spending 1 1/2 days at HS. The would also do RnR, ToT and ST at least 3x during that time. I think the way I plan with park hoppers I look at all parks differently.

At AK I would do a morning (hopefully on an early morning hour day) until 3 for one day and the second day I would arrive around 4 to stay til closing.
