How do I know what I think until I write it? And a Liner tells me what to do?

Coincidentally, this is why I also have trouble making even small decisions. Gotta meet all the needs of all the people and not upset or inconvenience anyone. Whereas DH just says “imma do this” and does it

I do! Just not with DD’s limited abilities. I’d love to go to flipping Borneo and see some orangutans or scope out some ancient temples in Cambodia or cross paths with a yeti in Bhutan.

I would kind of like you to figure out what’s going on with your heart and stuff before you have that kind of adventure!

So your birthday present to yourself is that for this trip you announce what you would like. You can think about others for every other trip in 2025, but for your birthday trip, you pick what you want and trust the others to decide if it’s for them.

(Just make sure to give us enough notice when it turns into a Liner trip.)

MRI tomorrow, but I’ve had lots of good blood work that has made DH much less worried. Hoping to get my official CT read soon. I think we are leaning more toward “crappy post COVID mystery stuff” than toward pulmonary hypertension, which is good. But yeah. I wouldn’t even ride velocicoaster right now, so not so much yeti hunting for me.

I figured you had to be doing better if DH was planning a fishing trip a continent away. I hope you get good news soon.

I’d rent a yacht for a week and just sail around wherever and eat gourmet food.

If you do DL plan a day trip to the Queen Mary in Long Beach! It’s fantastic!

Sadly, that is out of budget. But good food is a must.

This is an absolutely fabulous idea.

I’ve looked into it for splitting spring break with another two families. It is pricey. Like a nice fat DVC contract or two pricey.

How about a dinghy?

I’ve always loved this word.

It’s a goal of mine. I just need rich friends to join me.

I get this. Seeing other people happy makes me happy. My list of things I need to do is short. I have one thing on my bucket list. Just the one.

I wanted a big fuss made over me for my 50th - just family visiting the house even - but they couldn’t get that pulled together. So for my 60th, I took myself, DH and the Kid to Disney. Couple of people crashed it but luckily only for a day and also luckily a favorite cousin decided to join us for a couple of days for her first WDW visit ever. That was way fun. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

My suggestion to you is simplify. Grab a beach house - or all inclusive resort. The elders and your DD will be happy. You’ll be happy cuz they’re happy. If you can find a beach house in a location with some half day guided tours, so much the better. Catered meals, awesome.
Maybe I don’t speak for many, but less can be more. Just relaxing has been some of my best times. With family. Maybe even Virginia Beach or what’s that big destination lake in Virginia? Smith or Wilson or something. Do local touristy things. Less traveling is also good for elders and kids.

And then you go solo to Disney with Liners

I live here now! Which is fun because it was our main vacation destination as kids  And You’re thinking of Smith Mtn Lake, which is about an hour from my parents’ house. We are spoiled for beautiful places here in VA!

You know me - especially with a span in ages - cruise.
New England and Canada would be my recommendation. Not roasting hot.
Princess would be my first choice and then NCL. So few kids on a Princess ship in the fall - your DD would get excellent attention.
