It was asked in one of the threads how I made a post that hid some of the information until you clicked on it.

In case people don’t know how and didn’t take (or don’t remember) the training you can do on these forums, here is a brief instruction.

Here, I’ll speak about two options: Hide Details, and Blur Spoiler. Both effectively accomplish the same thing, but in different ways.

First, to Hide Details.

  1. Type out what it is you want to eventually hide.
  2. Select the text you want to hide.
  3. Select this tool: image
  4. A menu will give some options, one of which is “Hide Details”. Select this.
  5. By default, the code will have “Summary” as the heading. You can replace this with whatever text you wish to be visible/clickable.

Here is an example of this after I followed these instructions:

Click Me!

You can’t see this unless you clicked, Click Me!

Now, to create a Spoiler, if it is very similar:

  1. Type out what it is you want to eventually hide.
  2. Select the text you want to mark as a spoiler.
  3. Select this tool: image
  4. A menu will give some options, one of which is “Blur Spoiler”. Select this.
  5. Now, the text you blurred unless you click on it.

Example usage of a spoiler:

I don’t want to give anything away, but this text here is a secret!

Both can be useful from time to time.

I did the tutorial.

But I retained nothing.

It wasn’t knowledge I was after. It was the badge LOL
