Haunted was having some kinda issue with the elevator around 4pm . There were people in the queue waiting. Wait time stated 30 minutes. We walked up to a fast moving line, a CM asking if we were OK with stairs. Everyone yes. We got to go back down the secret servants quarters stairway then into the portrait room. Amazing!!
I told you lines would be short! (So glad I was right!) Amazing day!
And it could have been more if we were really on it. We wandered alot and sat in the shade quite a bit too. 8pm cane way too soon! They were still allowing people to enter the queue for Snow White at 7 :10pm and that line was the longest ever! Out to the Partners statue!!!
Awesome. Great info. Thanks!!!
Love the pictures! Thank you for posting. So glad you had a great day

Having the all CMs welcoming us in was incredible

My daughter was at DCA on the day they closed. She said ALL the CMs were lined up waving them out at the end of the night saying “We’ll see you soon!” Who knew it would be so long.
How cool!
Churro!! Love all the photos. Looks like you had a great trip! Wish I lived in CA so I could go now. Hopefully soon us out of staters will be able to go to DL.
I hope so too Darcy!! I can not wait to see you and Karen and Lisa. All my out of state Disney Family! XOXO
The day before Disneyland opened we took a side trip to Knotts Berry Farm. The park isn’t open yet but Peanuts Headquarters was along with the restaurants. There is also a tiny Build A Bear in the back About a 10 minute drive from Disneyland If you love Snoopy or just looking for something different to do this place is great!
Hi Folks! Wondering if anyone has an update on checking Cali IDs? I’m trying to figure out if what I’m going to need to bring for my kids that don’t have an ID. Report Card? Birth Certificate? Maybe just need to worry about the adults? Any info anyone hears would be great! We go the end of June - might not be a problem after the 15th anyway. Ugh! I hate COVID!
I am pretty sure you just have to worry about the adults. It has been a mixed bag on checking IDs for adults though. I am counting on the opening up June 15 as well.
No IDs needed for the kids, and they are not checking all adults at the gates either. It is random, from reports I have seen the last few days, they check when hopping or when there is no real crowd at the gates. First thing in the morning when all the crowds are lined up they don’t seem to be checking.
Thanks so much!
Has anyone seen any reports of people being turned away? I imagine most people wouldn’t volunteer that information, unless they just forgot their CA driver’s license or something.
I saw one report of a family being turned away, but was due to them not having park reservations despite having tickets. That’s all I have seen. Not much to go on.
I saw the same. A couple arguing in front of Tropicana Inn. No reservations. I felt so bad for the kids that were with them. Mom had quite a vocabulary. And if I’m saying that it must be bad. .
I feel sorry for people who didn’t know about the reservations, but I’m not sure how much more Disney could have done. It was announced everywhere before the opening, but I am sure some people pay no attention to that sort of thing.
